We're all trying to make more power...
I recently added a redneck ground mount and a Victron 100/20 to help figure out direction for my next one.
I've noticed the Victron makes, a negligible amount of, power longer than the SRNE many of you see me recommending. It also starts sooner even though it's aiming SW.

What's the biggest impact brand or angle?

From left to right
2s NE Solar 370W aimed SW to a 100/20
7s2p NE Solar 370W aimed S to MPPT1 of the ASF 10KW
9s2p 315W Q-Cells on the roofs aimed S and W to MPPT2.

I think I'm going to have to rewire 2 panels from the ground mount to the Victron for a better comparison.

I think PV surface area, azimuth/inclination & charge controller choice all contribute.

I did a comparison between victron & epever on a rainy day and observed the victron producing 4-5x more power with an array less than half that of the epever, azimuth & inclination were the same.

I was going to ask about morning cloud cover but that wouldn’t necessarily demonstrate why a southWEST array would begin producer earlier than a due south array though.
I am excited to see your experiments to see if the blue magic is really doing something magical.
What say you, @sunshine_eggo?

It's probably more a function of the MPPT algorithm. IMHO, decent MPPT aren't going to vary by more than 1-2% in total daily harvest.

It's really bugging me.

Hopefully tomorrow after work.

I really really like the Victron app. It is so much easier to navigate through charts than Solar Assistant on a mobile browser.

Following up I'll say my first complaint about SRNE is the MPPT isn't as good as Victron based off my experience.
Everything is still set up like it was above.

If anyone thinks it's worthwhile I can rewire 2 panels from the ground mount to the Victron.
Victron is still making power sooner SW facing.

I'm tempted to update to the latest firmware SRNE sent me a while back but they advised not to if I wasn't having issues.

some might say this is your typical fanboy behavior sir.
Fine. 😉 Victron should have used terminals that can accept 10AWG easily. I know the 100/20 is small but come on. Don't get me started on the flathead screws that I almost needed an eyeglass screwdriver for.
