Anyone know how to get the second AC output to work? Haven't had any luck finding out how.

Also I need to move the switch to outside the enclosure I'm building. Anyone try doing that. Switch is mounted to the circuit board.

Thanks

By default the second AC should only work when there is “shore power” 120v in. There are some settings you can change to make it work at different times.

I see where there is a place to hook up a switch but doesn't tell you how to wire it

it's in the manual.

4.4.4 Remote Control
The product can be remotely controlled in two ways.
• With an external switch (connection terminal H, see appendix A). Operates only if the switch on the MultiPlus is set to “on”.• With a Multi Control panel (connected to one of the two RJ48 sockets B, see appendix A). Operates only if the switch on the
MultiPlus is set to “on”.
Only one remote control can be connected, i.e. either a switch or a Multi control panel.

Connector for remote switch:
Short left and middle terminal to switch “on”.
Short right and middle terminal to switch to “charger only”.

Well here is appendix A

L is a ground

On victron forum I found where you use H

3 pole switch, what goes where?

A single pole, double throw (off/on/off) should do it. Switch will have 3 terminals. You need to double check the logic of whatever switch you get, but, center terminal of switch likely will go to center terminal of H.

Thanks. I do asked. Sometimes I feel like there dumb questions but I get stumped. There isn't much I can't make. But when it comes to electronics I get lost.

Here are bus bars I made and bars to get mounting outside of inverter. 4/0 doesn't fit inside good. Plus it doesn't do sharp turns. Both battery and inverter will be mounted in enclosures.

Better a "dumb" question than an expensive error.

One question that could have been asked is, "What is the proper orientation of the inverter?" You might want to check in the manual but I don't think a horizontal orientation is acceptable.

I did and it can be mounted horizontal or vertical. Says in the instructions

You are correct.

The MultiPlus is suitable for wall mounting. For mounting purposes, a hook and two holes are provided at the back of the casing (see appendix G). The device can be fitted either horizontally or vertically. For optimal cooling, vertical fitting is preferred.

Yeah I looked into it before I went that route. I'm making it portable so I wanted it same size as battery box for stacking. Still in the build stages.

The reason vertical is preferred- is heat rises, there are fans on the top of the unit, and if/when the unit gets hot it derates (see the spec sheets for the temps and watts produced at those temps).

Since you are still in the planning stages see if you can provide plenty of air movement to take the heat away from the Multiplus.

One item I noticed, you have the 4/0 cables (both pos and neg) about two inches from each other uncovered and sticking up. Consider fully cover and insulate the positive cable - so a dropped screwdriver doesn’t ruin your batteries and your day.

Thanks.

Fan is on the bottom and pushed air through it. Comes out 2 big slot, one on each side on other end. I will have plenty of ventilation in my box.

Here is temporary cover. This isn't even the 4/0 I'm going to use. This is studio cable and way to big and stiff for this. I work in film industry and have some 2/0 and 4/0 from damaged cable. This thing was setup last Friday so I could use it in my trailer for the weekend. Ran 3 days no problem. Came home and put a 100 amp draw on it for another hour to bring it down to 11 volts. Said I got 570 ah and 7420 wah

I will post pics when its all done.
