Ha……I grew up as a little boy with one.. each person on a line had a slightly different ring .. you could just pick up the phone and hear everything being said …and they had to be off the line for anyone else to make a call..everyone snooped....some people got to know the people who shared the line and would sit and gab to each other all day…
sorta the first version of social media ,I suppose.
