I plan on replacing my old 1991 RV's AGM house battery with a LiFePO4. Currently a Cyrix CT is installed. I don't need house battery charging via the alternator so I don't plan on purchasing a Victron Orion, Cyrix Li or something similar.
What will happen if I leave the Cyrix Ct in? Just as it is right now. Will the car refuse to start -just as it doesn't start right now when I take out the house battery? Or will the car start but just not charge the house battery? Will the alternator still charge the start battery though?
Asking because I just want to drop in a LiFePO4 without messing with the rest of the set-up. If something is wrong I can simply put the AGM back.
