What's the consensus on how to run Growatt 3000 with EG4 - BMS comms or user settings?

The subject pretty much sums it up. I've been running my 2x24v EG4 batteries with my Growatt 3000 24v AIO for the last year or with the BMS comms connected, but recently expanded my array and so have been taking a closer look at the data coming off the system via solar assistant and am wondering if I might be able to get better overall performance by disconnecting the BMS cable to the Growatt and running user settings? Specifically, the battery voltage when fully charged as reported by SA is 28.4. Shouldn't it be closer to 29?

Anyone else running this combo, how do you have yours setup?

28.4 is basically a full charge. Something like 99%+. Correct me if im wrong. I wouldn't change it if it's working that well.

If it helps, here is what SA is reporting for battery voltage. The peak is at 28.4 then it slides down to 26.4 - 26.6. Is this normal / expected?
