I'm trying to find racking for my installation, but I can't find anyone local that will sell to me, they only sell to contractors and shipping is too expensive to buy online. I was initially looking at IronRidge XR100, but I'm open to options if I can acquire them. I'm in WA, thanks.

You might check unirac.com, HomeDepot carries the rails, the rest you can jury rig or get from one of their suppliers. Thier design tool provides what most need for their engineering proof.

Never looked at them, but know unistrut has a solar lineup now, might be able to order that locally. If local codes don't require super high winds, any channel/bracketing system would probably work.

I'm happy with my Tamarack.
Hint - buy the 7' rails, they don't need freight shipping.
I found it cheaper to piece my kit together rather than buy the 'kit', it also had items I didn't need.

I purchased my IronRidge XR rail and other parts from Greentech Renewables in Santa Rosa CA. They have at least three locations in WA. I never asked them if they sold to me I just walked in with a list and got good pricing. I have gone back and bought small items and on anything over a few hundred I get a quote. I recently purchased a SolArk 12k and some more solar panels.

Unirac was very helpful with information, but a few years later they were kind enough to send (they will not sell to end users) me 8 panel clamps to fit 2 more panels on a 15 year old Unirac system. No one stocked them locally and online wanted a minimum order of something like $500.

Used to be called CED Greentech, now they are Greentech Renewables. Like member Ampster, I just walked in and got answers, then years later, spoke with them about those panel clamps already mentioned. They gave me the part number identification I needed after I sent them photos of the old clamps. Invaluable info that allowed me to get what was needed.

I asked for a quote from Greentech Renewables and got this response:

"Thank you for reaching out. Greentech Renewables is no longer servicing DIY leads in your area. I have sent your information to our partner, Tandem Solar. They can help you out with all of your solar needs!"

I reached out to Tandem and they can ship the 7' Pegasus rails.

Same here, looking for local racking / rails for sale, but in Wisconsin or northern Illinois. Anyone have a good source?

I ended up purchasing from Renvu. Was much cheaper, and significantly cheaper shipping. Received everything (even 14’ rails) within a week to the East Coast.

4x4 pt posts and unistrut found everywhere. It’s held my 34kWp just fine.
Hi. Nice job on the rack. Im considering this option. Do you have any issues with corrosion where the steel unistrut makes contact with the aluminum panel frames? what did you use for grounding connections to your panels?

Depending on what you need, I second the Tamarack as it shipped in a normal box and is very modular. If going onto a roof I liked the Ironridge flashviews for mounting to the roof structure.

Painted unistrut with black oil based paint from Blowes. Zero galvanic corrosion after 18 mo. Installed 6ga solid copper ground wire between each panel to ground rod at array.

How about Unistrut topped with Signature Solar mini Rails and hardware. That'd work. Mini Rails are like $6 and the hardware is $1.50 a clamp

On My metal roof I'm using S5 versa brackets and Sig Solar mini Rails. No other rail needed.

If you have the mini rails, what are the s5 brackets for?
The S5s mount to the roof and lift the panel over the ribs. The ribs are not flat profile so the mini Rails could not mount there
