Why is my battery leaking fluid

I have several U1-12RT Valence batteries, Lithium Iron Magnesium Phosphate. They are all a few years old. Yesterday, I noticed a clear fluid on the floor underneath a few of them. I don't know where the fluid came from. I haven't seen any signs of leaking, bulging, etc. None of the batteries are connected to a load or a charger; they are just sitting there disconnected in my air conditioned basement. I have not checked the voltage of any of them yet. Any idea what this is? I didn't think that these batteries had anything internal that could cause this type of fluid leak. Any help is appreciated.

My guess is that the battery uses pouch cells. According to another post, keeping pouch cells sealed long-term is an issue.
