What is the best practice for running wires to an inverter that has open terminals? My inverter has open terminals on the bottom, there's no small box/enclosure to secure cables with cord grips. I have an all-in-one system so I have two #6 AC line feeds (and gnd), three #8 AC line out (and gnd). I also have the four #8 for the two PV inputs. What I have done is run all those THHN wires in three separate 1" sealtite flexible conduits down the wall to a 12" x 8" x 4" junction box as a pass through. The J-box is about a foot away from the inverter. Within the J-box I'm going to mount terminals on a din rail. From that J-box to the inverter terminals, is what I'm asking about. I don't want this to look sloppy i.e. the wires coming out of the end of the sealtite. is it common run the THHN wire open air from J-box to the inverter? I really don't want to purchase a couple feet of SOOW cord either.
