The price, at least for thus 12V model, is one of the attractions. Most of the backup/hybrid inverters I’ve looked at cost multiple thousands of dollars (some over $10K).Maybe, but there are likely better, cheaper solutions that are 24 and 48V.
If you know of a 24V hybrid inverter with the quality of a Victron and costing less than the $1500 they are asking for this 12V model, please pass it along.
The Magnum PAE inverter I was considering costs over $4000...
Oh, my comment was directed at Victron, not at you. With "designed specifically for RVs" in the subject, I was speaking directly to the target audience. Additionally, the large diagrams with the voltages/currents listed in their headings are also self-explanatory.
Worth considering that your efforts to engage in the thread might have been a little lackadaisical
Voctron is an interesting company and has the potential for a much wider market than they serve. The early success in boating and RVs has made them gun shy about recognizing how well-suited many of their product offerings could be for the residential solar market.
Specing this new product in RV-speak rather than using terms any electrician or solar hobbies could recognize is yet another example...
