Is Sol-Ark still sending data to China?

China and russia control all of the resources needed to fulfill this pipedream of the climate change cultists where fossil fuels are out of the picture. Every solar panel you buy, every battery that is installed does the exact same thing you just spoke of above...sends money to china.
This is very true and I agree whole heartedly. That was one of the reasons I referenced Will’s video on YouTube, China versus America. Americans have gotten fat, lazy and we no longer produce anything here. We are way too dependent upon China for things that we need including medication’s, not to mention of course solar panels, batteries and places like Saudi Arabia for oil.
Let’s not forget our overlords, climate cultist, in the federal system that’s making it impossible for the US to be a leader in producing anything here! They are regulating everything so much we can’t make batteries here, solar panels here. They’re trying to put regulation on gas stoves, and the news the last couple days, they’re going to completely ban incandescent lightbulbs. Now, you may agree that incandescent lightbulbs need to go away. However, should a federal system regulate or ban something completely out of business? We have some very poor people in this country who cannot afford to buy LED lightbulbs. My personal opinion, there’s a fine line of balancing regulation and producing as much as we can in the United States.
Everyone has their own opinion, but with the mindset of trying to be a self-sufficient as possible, I’m working to rely less on outside sources. Obviously that is a process and there’s some things that you still must get from outside sources. However, regulating everything to the point where you’re dependent upon what you NEED from an enemy or adversaries is not good.
However, with the state of our country the way it is, where it’s going, we are going to be dependent upon the rest of the world for what we NEED. Our government no longer wants to produce anything here. I know that sounds crazy but do not listen to their words, look at their actions and real world consequences of those actions.

Too late. Just bought victron instead. Edit-I joined about the time the big sol ark china thread was going. Took them off the list.

"...making it impossible for the US to be a leader in producing anything here! They are regulating everything so much we can’t make batteries here, solar panels here. "

So much truth to this ! And also excessive tariffs on parts from China that can not be bought here or anywhere else, so we can manufacture products in the US competitively....

OF course that doesn't cover the other truthful part about becoming fat and lazy !

There are more and more options becoming available every year. If people in the US want to do something about it then they need to stop being "lazy" and support companies that aren't giving money to China. As far as solar panels there are US options that are continuing to improve every year, see https://pv-magazine-usa.com/2023/03/15/can-the-u-s-fill-its-domestic-solar-supply-chain-gaps/
QCELLS has been actively increasing their manufacturing foot print in Georgia and plans on having every part of the panel manufactured within the US soon. This market change doesn't happen overnight but you can already see the changes happening.

They’re just going to work with the BRICS countries to put an end to the Petro-Dollar and the US dollar as the worlds default currency

I guess everyone is tired of America pushing its weight around, using sanctions trying to force it's will on smaller countries. So now sadly, America is going loose it's position in the world, a very short lived empire

It's really sad because I love America , the whole idea of it , freedom , democracy, apple pies & white picket fences .

Just seems like that dream is not longer a reality...

Yes, I’m using 51 Q-cells and 5 extra in storage. That’s one reason I chose Q-cell, they were supposedly manufacturing here. They were not to expensive, good degradation rating but only warranted for 12 years.
I also purchased my Sol-Arks under the same idea of being an American made/company. After joining this forum I learned otherwise.

That's great! I applaud any manufacturing that takes place here in the US and I go out of my way to buy American made, and if not that, then anything but chinese if I can. However, we, the US, only has access to the raw materials to build solar panels through China.
We cannot even build hundred year old technology without chinas help any longer...the lowly lead acid battery. The climate change cultists have long since shuttered all remaining lead mines in the US.

I worked in large scale 'cloud' computing for a long while. It's common practice to distribute copies/backups to geographically remote locations so that a disaster in 1 part of the world doesn't result in things being lost and/or a company can keep running by re-routing traffic to live replicated copies. So... even if a front-facing Amazon hosted server is not physically in China, replications and/or backups could very be updating to a Chinese controlled server facility that's part of the overall AWEs system and/or part of the Chinese government data collection.

As a poster said earlier on - if it's in the cloud you don't have control which is why I never use anything cloud based. And even so, someone might hack into my local LAN (sigh). Just be aware....

On the other hand, I'm not sure there's any such thing as 'off-grid' / 'unknown' these days. Its like your DNA... you might not share it but if someone in your family does they can link up to you. Similarly, just thru purchases and activity tracking and posts (such as this forum), AI can build profiles... they don't need your solar metrics data to get an idea about what one is doing.

Thus, while I choose to keep everything local, I don't fault people for using the Cloud as 'they' can find us in any case :)

That is what QCell will be doing though.. making the silicon here in the US. Right now all the "made in USA" solar panels are still importing wafers to create the panels. All "made in USA" solar panel manufacturers also have to import the encapsulate for the backs of non-bifacial panels but QCell is building a plant now and will be the only one in the USA manufacturing that.

It seems like solark is trying to bring more stuff back into the USA as well so they are actually doing an extremely American thing. Good on them, find good Chinese technology and then steal it from them lol.

And the price will go up 20% and everyone will complain how expensive they are. Human nature.

Well, that's awesome to hear! Now if only we could find some lithium and cobalt to mine...oh, wait, we did, in Afganastan, right before FJB pulled everyone out in a big CF leaving that resource for China to swoop in and exploit, which they gladly did.

Another good example of what I said earlier. Our federal overlords, political elite, are a bigger threat to our way of life currently than anyone else!!
They say one thing and do the opposite! Get rid of oil for solar and wind, but give away the resources that could’ve been mutually beneficial to the source country and the US!

Hmmm. Invading, overthrowing and stealing resources is not the moral way. BRICS and Belt and Road trade deals are though.

I agree, that’s seemingly the case for the foreseeable future. Sadly, the more corrupt federal government becomes, the worse it gets! Unfortunately the best governmental system ever devised has become what we were originally left England to be free from!
It’s really sad that politicians/government are so weak that more money and power for “government “, is more important than the everlasting power of freedom and individuals rights!
Some people think everything should be nationalized? When that happens, you are no longer in control of your life choices, freedom and individual rights.

If you really start poking around that dream was never the reality. It was always staged propaganda that we bought hook line and sinker. While much remains still hidden we are closer to seeing the reality than ever before and unfortunately it’s really ugly.

Honestly brother humanity has always been controlled. The freedom you speak of was just the illusion they provided to keep the herd quiet. They threw in a few wars in the name of democracy to divert attention and focus us on a common enemy and keep the masses divided.

So, Carlos: it's been 3 months since your post indicating that the switchover would be happening "very soon". Has it actually happened yet? If not, any update on when it might be happening?

We now return you to your previously (un-)scheduled political ranting...
