How can Current Connected improve?

Because I have to pay by credit card I'm being lazy and have to go get my wallet and card ;)
Just put your CC info in a file, password protected if your PC is subject to snoopers. Then you can just copy and paste when you buy something.

I'd love for you to fix your additive shipping. For example, if I add https://www.currentconnected.com/product/silicone-battery-terminal-cover/ to my cart, my shipping goes to $5. If I add 2, shipping is $10. 6 is $30. I have a hard time believing that shipping 6 of these is even close to $30. 1 for $5 makes sense. 6 for $30 does not. Shipping should get progressively cheaper for each item that I add.

My limited understanding is that generally shipping is fixed price + weight. So $4 (fixed) + $1 (weight). 2 items would be $4 (fixed) + $1 x 2 (weight) = $6 etc.

I saw this with a couple items that I was planning on buying.

That perfectly part is the issue. SMA is not registering SOC% below 20%...no matter what we tell the inverter it's not listening. The rest of the bugs have been worked out.

Did you check lowering the battery protection settings on the Sunny Island?

I think Dexter gave up on the SOK/SI pairing.

Another forum member reported EG4 PowerPro worked closed-loop with Sunny Island. Don't know if it has similar issues. I see CC carries it. Larger capacity and weatherproof makes it quite attractive.

@HighTechLab - can you check this out? Are you able to say you've confirmed this works? Or do you need to stay out of making compatibility claims, since you have no power to fix them?

Was planning on it as soon as EG4 ships our inventory.

I look forward to finally having an answer for the customers that have solar trailers...I can't tell you how many people have ignored our instructions then call to complain that the inverter is not measuring SOC well with the battery in open-loop control with lead acid settings.

Haven't heard of Epoch batteries, are they also making server rack type batts?
Will has made a few videos of them. The two models we like most are the 12v 460ah (because they can do 300A continuous - perfect for a 3000w inverter) and the 48v/30ah GC2 form factor so we actually have a solution for golf carts or 48v trolling motors.

Those 12V 460Ah batteries look nice; was very seriously considering one of them for my RV project, especially given the Victron comms...

I know, right?!!! I was thinking $1999 is actually a pretty good price for a quality battery...makes it super simple for install too.

No one ever gives us feedback on here...it's a blessing and a curse.

I'm taking the chance to take feedback constructively before it becomes destructive like other vendors on this forum.

Some things we are already working on:
  • Hiring and training more technical support staff to spread the load of technical sales & support calls
  • Dedicated web developer to improve UI and website experience.
  • More complete catalog including Ironridge, Unirac, Tigo, multiple panel options and electrical panels, circuit breakers and wiring components so we can better offer complete solutions not just a majority of the solution.
What do you like and what can we do better?
You guys shipped my order in 2 days.... BRAVO.
Just thought I would give some feedback.

This was going to be the one and only thing I recommend is 280ah cells. But I know the DIY Cell market is kind of dying and the server rack batteries are taking off, so I didn't mention it. Knowing you have cells will be great. Especially direct from CALB.
Not sure why the EVE 280 diy market is dying. I love mine and will build 3 more packs.

I ordered a chargeverter from CC on the 11/30 at 11:50. I received a tracking number at 1200.

While getting a tracking number just means that the number had been created, I received a shipping email from FedEx with an ETA for the package at 18:49 that evening. Should arrive on the 5th. Great job on the order turn-around time!
