Failed Inspection - need some advice and guidance for NEC 690 infractions.

Oh, I suspect that would be fine. In my case all fans were back away from that bottom raceway so it made most sense to just attach directly to it.

    inspected off-grid in BC

I'm using luxpower and can confirm that it does have arc-fault built in. This is an annoying us vs Canada difference. My panel array is ground mounted with a dedicated power shed for the inverter, which in the US would have excepted me from needing arc fault. Canadian code brought over the arc...

    inspected off-grid in BC

Everything in BC is supposed to go through Technical Safety BC. There is little direct enforcement, except for insurance and building permit process though.

New Lux Power LXP-LB-US 12k / GSL-H-12KLV-US with 200A AC Passthrough Current (US Market)

Does anyone have the "customer code" for GSL that I am supposed to put in the app to connect to the wifi dongle? Thanks!

    Luxpower hybrid inverter technical support

Got hold of GSL and they have given me the LCD update files. Thank you!

    Luxpower hybrid inverter technical support

Hi, I have the luxpower inverter and it is working quite well! My problem is that it is on the earliest firmware and I cannot seem to get a reply from my vendor, GSL Energy, for the LCD update files (and presumably after the LCD update the firmware update itself.) I would love to get AC coupling...

In regards to 3), I had to do that. Canadian code, but similar. https://photos.app.goo.gl/mJj77mTg3virJumL9

    Load shedding

Well, the existence of a generator was relevant to allow for winter charging. But the sizing of that generator was not critical. With one important caveat - the generator was connected for inspection such that it ONLY charged the batteries. If there was a direct connection to the main power...

    Load shedding

Ah, just in case anyone stumbles over this thread in the future, the magic words were 64-102a After going through 4 electricians who didn't know, and 3 inspectors who didn't know, I finally found someone who has done off-grid work. Eric at Viridian is my saviour. I may do an Elon Musk and name...

New Lux Power LXP-LB-US 12k / GSL-H-12KLV-US with 200A AC Passthrough Current (US Market)

I don't think use of SA blocks updates. I haven't tried it yet but the install page indicates it connects using the wifi dongle supplied by the inverter, so I'd presume it is still able to be accessed by GSL. https://solar-assistant.io/help/luxpower/configuration

Anyone using a generator to charge batteries on MPP LV6548?

I did not. I also have an older furnace and could see some poor solder joints on the control board and fixing those is what allowed it to work again, so the problems were likely pre-existing in my furnace, but the additional thermal stress of spiky power was enough to make it fail. I have not...

Anyone using a generator to charge batteries on MPP LV6548?

I guess we should probably start another thread on this, but I'd love to hear your surge protector experiences. I've had to re-solder my furnace control board because of an lv6548 surge. When I had to change to my current GSL inverter I hoped no more surges, but they still pop up (although less...

New Lux Power LXP-LB-US 12k / GSL-H-12KLV-US with 200A AC Passthrough Current (US Market)

There are problems. I would make the same purchase again for my use case, I believe. The threads, and my experience, seem to indicate that for a significant subset of people the end goal of a stable and sufficient system is being met. Is that subset big enough? No way, I'm not even sure it's...

Anyone using a generator to charge batteries on MPP LV6548?

I had this problem on my lv6548's. I never did get the small Furman generator to work. Power was too noisy for it to lock on it something. One thing that worked with the multiquip generator, though, was to make sure it is loaded before you try to get the lv6548 to lock on. I have a little 1500...
