    EG4 6500 won't turn on

Turns out I was just using the wrong startup sequence 1 battery, then the breaker, then the inverter. I didn't get wrong.

    EG4 6500 won't turn on

I moved my solar setup today from an uninsulated area to an insulated one to keep the batteries warm. I hooked everything back up, pushed the power button on the 6500ex, and absolutely nothing happened. No lights, no sound, nothing. Thinking that maybe it didn't have enough power to start I...

Signature Solar BMS Test Software Not Responding

One of my Lifepower4 batteries isn't turning on, so Signature Solar told me to run the BMS software from my computer. I have it downloaded and extracted and found my correct port to use. I have the CAT - USB cable plugged into my 0 battery and the other batteries all plugged into the RS485 ports...

Setting up EG4 6000ex in parallel

Oooh I love that idea! So have trailer 1 out of breaker 1 connected to L1 from the inverter, then trailer 2 out of breaker 2 connected to L2 from the inverter?

Setting up EG4 6000ex in parallel

I don't. But the 75% is showing while running, not just at startup

Setting up EG4 6000ex in parallel

I'm starting to regret my purchase after watching Will's review, but at this point it is what it is. We are off-grid and living in our rv trailer while we build our house. I purchased the 6000ex instead of the 6500 expecting that I could use a single one to power everything and then bought a...

Trying to connect SolarPower app to open network

I am finally trying to connect our inverter to the network and install the app so I can monitor things without having to run out to the inverter panel. We specifically chose to not have a password on our network and the SolarPower app is balking at this, not letting me advance through the...

EG4 batteries and inverter - faulted and won't turn back on

Turning on a single battery with the breaker on did it. Thank you!

EG4 batteries and inverter - faulted and won't turn back on

I turned all the batteries on with the inverter and breaker off. Let them sit like that for several minutes. As soon as I flipped the breaker On I heard a sound like the starter on a vehicle, then all the ALARM lights went red.

EG4 batteries and inverter - faulted and won't turn back on

I have 6 Life power 4 batteries and the 6000ex split phase inverter. Suddenly the inverter showed fault code 07 (overload) even though no new loads were put on it. I shut off the breaker from the batteries to the inverter and turned the inverter off, but it took about 15 minutes for the alarm...

Do LiPo batteries need to be in a ventilated space?

Okay, cool. So would my idea of using a deep freezer ad an insulated box work, or is that dumb?

Do LiPo batteries need to be in a ventilated space?

I am planning on buying some of these batteries: https://signaturesolar.com/eg4-lifepower4-lithium-battery-48v-100ah I understand that they need to be in an insulated space to prevent them from charging in below-freezing conditions. But then I've also heard that batteries need to be in a...

Add panels to DC Solar trailer

Thank you for this. Someone had said that it would only handle like 2 more panels. The reason we got so many more panels is we are currently living off-grid in 3 travel trailers but we are building a big house for the family which will need a LOT more solar, but we still need more solar now. The...

Add panels to DC Solar trailer

I have a DC Solar trailer (10x265 panels, 2 FLA batteries, Midnite Classic 1500, 2 Sunny Island inverters) and it just isn’t cutting it for the amount of power we need. I just bought 60 260 watt panels to build a much larger system. Can I tie these panels in to the trailer? I’ve heard some...
