I will be sure to put it up. My pet peeve is dead threads that have no ending. Fixed or not the info will be here. No way I can be the only person that has this issue.
I said, they offered that unit as a replacement! You will get no apology since your statement was strictly inflammatory. You want to come in a month later, tell people that are having issues they bought junk and expect me to be ok with that.. go bark up another righteous tree and let people...
I have purchased cells from Docan, they were great! All met or exceeded the capacitance and they have been flawless for 2 months.
But, I have now been burned 2 times by Aliexpress! First order never shipped and the seller refused to respond. Second order I received a prismatic casing filled...
Well, I did receive a tracking number for a supposed replacement inverter. I word it that way because the shipment is 18lbs less than the last one so I am worried they sent the wrong unit. I called to verify and was told she asked her supervisor to place the order. Coming from the person that...
for proof on concept I jerry rigged a panamax power conditioning transformer from our theater room between the inverter and lighting circiut.. VOILA!!! No more flicker. Inverter output is 110% the culprit.
I don't want to publicly bash a company without at least giving them a shot to do the right thing. I am at the end of my rope though. We took out a loan to purchase everything and went quite a bit over due to the unforeseen issues with the city inspector. So, there is no money and yes we very...
So I pulled the circuits that have dimmers out of the panel and temporarily tired them into an Ego Nexus Power Station. That is a pure sine inverter as well, no flickering at all. I do not have a scope to check the wave on the 6548 but the voltage and hertz are correct and not jumping. Appears...
Well the wrong scope came in.. love Amazon.. smh but you can still see the bottom of the wave. On inverter power it's wiggling around like a wet noodle. On grid power, rock steady
Have not. Didnt really see the need since they only flicker when under DC power from the 6548. After seeing the issue disappear on another inverter I am scratching my head. The lights do no flicker on grid, do not flicker on gen, do not flicker on another inverter wired directly to them.
Neutral is bonded at the meter. I am using a reliance transfer panel so I removed the neutral ground screw bond inside the unit. Was that incorrect? To be more specific my meter with disconnect is outside and that has the bond for the main panel. The main panel has 4 service lines coming in with...
After reading around and debating on setting up a pi for remote web monitoring I came across dessmonitor.com Amazing how there is no mention of it in the documentation. I logged in using my watchpower credentials and BINGO.. instant remote access from any browser! I also found this under the...
Shocked, I received a call from the rep I was dealing with. She spoke with her supervisor and they agreed the unit is not functioning correctly after looking at the YT scope videos. They are hopefully sending a replacement and I will send the malfunctioning unit back. I say hopefully since I was...
I know it has been a long time but I have not had anything useful to report. Over the winter we lost multiple appliances that were working just fine. Our 3YO LG fridge, our 2YO dishwasher and our 8YO washing machine. All 3 had fried boards. LG refused warranty on the fridge and dishwasher...
I hate to say it but those of us that are having issues with these clones will be out the purchase price. There is no fix, they have junk parts and the manufacturers know it. Cut your losses or pay more in the long run with ruined electronics. Learned my lesson trying to save a few bucks.
Meh... I would fight that one with VISA all day long. Like you said how would you know there is an issue until it is installed. I have their emails saying it is not "normal" so that right there is grounds for a refund.
Yes, they are self dimming so that ruled out all the dimmers I have tried as well. The power output is just noisey and variable. Bad design, these should not be sold like this. 2 inverters, same issues I highly doubt they are both faulty...
Hahaha it's OK I opened a dispute with VISA which is where the Paypal payment came from. I have another 30 days or so. They requested all the correspondences from SunGold Power in the meantime just to show I gave them a "reasonable amount of time" to remedy the issue.
Just noticed it was a 20A not a 30A. I ordered these versions since I prefer the protected terminals and leads vs posts on the others. Smaller amperage to test on the lighting circuit and larger 20A for a circuit with a UPS to see if it stops it from cycling between battery and line power. These...
I noticed the high pitch whine but didn't correlate that to the front panel led as much as just inverter noise. If that is just the rgb noise... what the hell were they thinking designing that driver
As an update, I have still yet to hear a word back from Tech support. I was told 2 business days max by sales, that was 3 days ago. Things happen, it's all about how the company handles it. They have a supposed no questions asked 30 day free return policy and a warranty covering shipping both...
Without a proper scope it really is hard to pinpoint. The frequency is not a steady 60hz and there is all kinds of variation and noise in the output. More leaning towards getting my money back at this point. No one wants to play games like this with new equipment. I am still open to suggestions...
They have verified that the original unit is in the hands of their engineer in California. I requested that he call me as that would make things much easier than playing the telephone game though her but so far no response on that request.
We went though that. I even tried installing the bonding screw back in, disconnecting the output to my panel and and testing it right from the output of the inverter. Same exact drifting and unsteady waveform. 100% an inverter issue.
You and me both! This has been a shitty experience to put it mildly. 3 weeks, 2 inverters, 2 panels, 3 can lights, 4 edison bulbs, 3 dimmers, chokes, fans and now emi filters. Still with 0 feedback from the manufacturer.
Just finished installing an SP6548 with 2 48v packs I built from eve 280k cells and 6kw of panels. Having a bit of a problem and hope someone can point me in the right direction. Upon firing everything up I noticed that any fixtures with a dimmable LED flicker. We have dimmable LED cans in our...
Please elaborate! You had flickering issues as well? I am relieved to hear this is not just me! Seemed like I was the only one on earth to have an issue with these units. Funny you said that about the fans. The left most fan cooling the mppt sounds like the bearings are gone and I was just going...
So, back to my earlier posts about a possible fix. I installed type 31 chokes on the 3 fans and that killed the flicker. But, without PV input the fan speed was low. When I get home from work there should be some decent production and I will check again.
Replacement inverter is in, reliance transfer panel is out, SAME LED FLICKERING. Pretty disgusted with this unit at this point. So much time and money thrown at such a dumb problem that should not exist. As a last ditch effort I ran some 12/2 out of the new panel directly to the lighting circuit...
Same nonsense they were telling me before they went silent. Keep waiting... Funny thing is when I message them from another account I get a response within 12 hours so their email works just fine.
