So I went on a LED spree last night. Picked up 1 pack of just about every LED can and edison base bulb at HD and Lowes. They are going to hate me when I attempt to return most of them. I tried 3 6" led can lights, all flickered.

Not an option without rewiring the entire house. Most rooms are on a separate breaker so receptacles and lighting share a circuit. It is a Colonial with a finished basement so this would be a massive undertaking.

Might have solved the issue! Right now I am only taking in 70W from the panels. Reevaluate tomorrow then I will post what I did. If this fix holds with more PV input it's incredibly simple and cheap to implement.

Yes, the flicker is much less at full power but we never run our lights at full power so dimmers are necessary. Once dimmed at all the flicker is better described as strobing. This is only an issue with this inverter. Ecoflow Delta Pro, Ego Nexus or grid 0 flickering.

Well in my case I have flickering in $280 Philip architectural fixtures and hue bulbs. The architectural fixtures have multiple caps on the drivers, If I remember right 8. They should 100% not flicker lol

Tried the 10A on the kitchen lighting circuit no change. Put the 20A on the UPS circuit, also no change. Disconnected the inverter output and put the 20A filter inline with some 12/2 to a dual gang box. Plugged in each of the UPS units, still tripped. Removed that and tossed on 4 edison bases...

It is certainly worth a shot. Getting 4ga wire on that would be interesting lol. The issue is this is not periodic noise or induced by other items on the circuit, it is constant. We should not have to noise filter 6.5kw of output to use an inverter with lights or a UPS. I have used those filters...

By By any chance do you have links? I have been looking all day and all I can find are inline. I have installed large transformers in homes for dirty power but those were VERY expensive and I don't want to go down that road.

What is the power source for the scope? Needs to be a separate pure sine clean source. So grid with an isolation transformer or it can be the solark if its not sharing any connections. Probe the hot and neutral and try again. Something is not right there. As much as I would love more information...

The price is nice but I really dislike the studs. You would need 90 deg ring terminals to mount it cleanly and the studs are exposed. Not a fan of line voltage being exposed like that. I am a bit OCD so to each their own.

So my question is how am I the only one seeing this with all the LV6548's out there? Is there an actual difference between the MPP unit and the Sungold Power? Is my unit defective? Is this normal for these units? I find it hard to believe it's normal as it trips my UPS's randomly for dirty power.

@Quattrohead have you checked the power usage on the grid supply? Just hooked up monitoring on the entire service and see 90-100watts being pulled from the grid by the inverter at all times when grid power is supplied to the unit. This can not be normal.

So that is with PV only out to the lighting circuit. DC and AC have been completely removed. The wave is much improved over all other testing scenarios but the lights still flicker in correspondence to the abnormalities. The constant on LED's did flicker less, enough where I would just ignore...

After shaking the sungold power tree again I was told that they verified the issue and will be sending a "filtering capacitor". I asked about specifics but have not received a response. Better not be for just 1 120v line, it would have to cover the entire 6.5Kw output.

So far none of the fixes proposed have alleviated the issue. Still a work in progress. The wife's hair straightener causes all kinds of havoc on the lighting just like your sous vide cooker.

Lowest quantity would be 6. These are all LED can's. We have them in the kitchen, family room, hallways and bedrooms. I will see what happens when I pull the ground from the output as recommended and see what the scope shows. I should have continuity checked the input and output ground but...

Agreed! that was my first question to their "engineer"... no response days later. I will absolutely check the draw. At that point the unit has lost any certification it had achieved and my inspector will never sign off on the install. I'll give it a go for completions sake of this thread.
