  • Post in thread: DGJBD Bluetooth BMS - a short review

Hi Did a quick test today and it only shows discharge. It does allow reverse current flow but does not measure it. First pic shows the voltmeter ammeter and second pic shows the BMS indicating a charge current regards
  • Post in thread: Can you Parallel smart BMS??

Hi He is also the guy who gets answers rather than going round and round in circles for many months and if he is the sales guy (which I am sure he is ) I sincerely hope he passes technical questions to the engineer. Has anyone raised the low temp cut off issue with Daly? I know Will proved...
  • Post in thread: Good day from down under.

Hi Newts There is a video of Will building a battery using these BMS on prismatic cells. Have a look on YouTube. This is one of them - but there others. I don’t think the BMS cares what type of cell it is as long as it is the correct chemistry and configuration.
  • Post in thread: Just Place new Order on Alibaba- 280AH x 8 for 1260.00 USD Delivered, Grade A to Canada

Hi - I had a chat with Amy and mentioned this forum and she immediately responded with an amazing price. So she must be getting a lot of leads from here. I was ready to place an order when she came back with shipping to Australia. Wow is an understatement. Cost of shipping was greater than the...
  • Post in thread: New Daly "Smart" BMS w/ Communication. (80-250A)

If you look at those wires on the lithium emergency battery packs they sell to assist starting cars with flat batteries - those draw over 700a (v8 diesel) for a few seconds. They do get hot but handle that current many times.
  • Post in thread: LTO cells on Batteryhookup.com

I will be building my first ones as 12v camping battery so no inverter will be used. I am a bit nervous of putting 15.6v onto 12v appliances.
  • Post in thread: New Daly "Smart" BMS w/ Communication. (80-250A)

On the Daly ‘official store’ the Smart BMS are down the bottom on the LHS
  • Post in thread: LTO cells on Batteryhookup.com

Really? I thought you had to use all the wires as the BMS needed to see a voltage on every I put. No voltage = flat cell = no output.
  • Post in thread: DGJBD Bluetooth BMS - a short review

Hi Pierre 2 questions 1. Can you complete the setup via the app and blue tooth or do you need the RS232 / USB converter? 2. Where did you download the manual from Thanks and Regards
  • Post in thread: LTO cells on Batteryhookup.com

Thanks for the input. The Chargery looks the goods alright. Will check out the Tiny as well.
  • Post in thread: Just Place new Order on Alibaba- 280AH x 8 for 1260.00 USD Delivered, Grade A to Canada

Hi I use 17TRACK and it seems to work where others fail (particularly when buying from China) Link here https://www.17track.net/en Regards
  • Post in thread: Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Hi Craigmck Not an expert but have bought my first Chargery and will be wiring it up soon. Yes you can use the internal battery but I believe display etc gets faint when the battery gets low. There is a switch on the back for Internal/External battery. I believe the relays are for switching when...
  • Post in thread: Renogy DC DC Charger w/ MPPT

Which one are you talking about. I had the RedArc BMS15 running off a Toyota Prado which had a smart alternator and it worked fine.
  • Post in thread: Just Place new Order on Alibaba- 280AH x 8 for 1260.00 USD Delivered, Grade A to Canada

Hi Very true - as in the case of a dispute - AliBaba will use the transcript to adjudicate the case. Regards
  • Post in thread: BMS Bluetooth range extender

Hi Pierre Definately not on the new ones. Spoke to the seller and this is an improvement in design. Go figure Regards
  • Post in thread: Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Hi I contacted Jason and he sent me a PayPal link, which I paid and he is now sending it to me. Well I have not received it yet but will see.. Cheaper to buy direct from Chargery as well. "王军荣 <jasonwang3a@163.com> Regards
  • Post in thread: Good day from down under.

Hi There are a lot of eBay "Specials" doing the rounds in Au currently. I would advise against them because - you know the saying....if it looks like a duck etc..The dealer in WA has just pulled his LiFePO4 "drop in' replacement batteries, because they are not, and there is another crowd, who...
  • Post in thread: New JBD BMS compatible Bluetooth App

Hi Adding some screen shots from the app. 2 nifty improvements I have noticed. Displays remaining charge time to fully charged (Not to sure how accurate it is will check with a battery charger) Displays both temperatures - also not sure how accurate this is but at least they are...
  • Post in thread: MPP Solar All in one remote monitoring

Hi Has anyone looked at the option of connecting directly to the BMS via 232 or 485? There are BMS systems that allow direct connection. Might be easier. This BMS allows direct connection. The new version of the Bluetooth app will also allow data logging directly from the BMS AU $10.17 11% Off...
  • Post in thread: Couldn't help myself but come on the form big fan of will prowse I cannot believe what just happened with the batteries he was opening up

Hi RobbieD - if you want to go Lithium look up Allspark - they are even warranted under the bonnet. They are a bit above average price but not much. Read lots of great great reviews. Regards
  • Post in thread: Xiaoxiang BMS Settings

Hi Apparently you should set you cycle capacity to 80% of the designed capacity. Aleysa why are you using such a small portion of the battery range (3.4v to 3.0v) If you look at the data sheet from the battery supplier it stipulates the range on there. Regards
  • Post in thread: Newbie! Need advice

Hi I do not have any personal experience with it so cannot give an informed opinion but it looks like it has all the bits and pieces. Personally I prefer the MPPSolar.
  • Post in thread: DGJBD Bluetooth BMS - a short review

Hi Pierre The magic smoke escaped. Overload protection was tied to the smoke so went to the capacity tester in the sky. This one seems the goods. Cheers
  • Post in thread: Failed MPP system

Hi Absolutely you can assemble your own system using you choice of components but it will cost much more. Plenty videos of that on YouTube and in Fact I think Will has done one. Regards
  • Post in thread: Chargers - are they necessary

Hi All. We all have read the discussions - often heated - about the necessity of a BMS in a Li system but what about the necessity of a charger (solar MPPT or dc to dc) when there is a BMS already handling the CC/CV of the battery. Now I am not talking about a ziggawat solar system with pentawh...
  • Post in thread: Failed MPP system

Hi As apposed to people blindly criticizing a system they know nothing about? Regards
  • Post in thread: Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Hi The manual has a little more / slightly better info / drawings but this is as good as it generally gets. Regards
  • Post in thread: Renogy DC DC Charger w/ MPPT

Just had a look at the manual and it seems there needs to be an Earth as well as the Pos for the IGN input. Thinking about it as well you should be able to check it with the IGN disconnected - as per dumb alternator. Connect the one connector to earth and leave the other disconnected and see if...
