So I will be using the electric companies grounding system on my entire system. I was hoping to use my own earth ground, and only use the electric companies load lines and neutral. So the only way to get around this is not to have utility hooked up to the inverters for back up?

Just checked the 6548 and sure enough, the setting was 2P2, so went in and changed it to SG1 and it started charging the batteries off utility and showed the inverter icon so know it's functioning in that aspect. Turned on the switch from the PV and nothing. That will definitely be this...

Thank you both. Will charge individually and then in series and check the cuttoff setting and change it. This was my first system, and it's for the koipond power. I have 12-200 watt Rich Solar panels and my power consumption runs about 800 watts except at night when the waterfall shuts down...

Also, the ones pulling the strings keep talking about the electric grid going down. The system I have I can easily move my wires to send power to the house and shut off the utility breakers to power necessities like frig., fans, crock pot; would need to shut down some of the pond equipment though.

I had this 6548 hooked up before and it worked (with communication issues), and double checked the wiring before putting the front panel with controller back on. I did precharge, don't have a regular resistor so I use a carpenters pencil as a resistor. Thank you for the link to the calculator...

Sun is out today and checked the leads from PV. Was getting 112v from the PV which are 2 strings of 5 panel series in parallel. I have tried both MPPT connectors on the 6548 and the inverter does not detect the panels. The only thing I can figure is there must be something in the settings...

Thank you!!! I had COMPLETELY forgotten about the setting #28 for two phase. Will get that changed this weekend, as that's the soonest opportunity I'll have to tackle it again. I remember the frustration setting it up as I was slow at making the chages. I had also forgotten about the bonding.

Thank you for your response. For the AC going out from the two LV6548s will just use a small two leg breaker box then before the lines head to the main panel in the house. My PV lines coming in will be connected to a DC disconnect switch before the inverters so I should be good. No codes here...
