Very new to solar but started purchasing items, not sure of the final specs of the whole system.

Weather is calling for 5 days nighttime conditions during the daytime, this is zero loads and its still negative.

We are in the same situation.

What are you going to do?
Probably flip over when it gets near 40%, I have not done much with the generator yet. But maybe tomorrow I can get the clamp meters on it and find out how the chargeverter is pulling and see how much room I have left.

The first 18k arrived.

When you going to install it?
As winner of my solar raffle your entitled to a one month vacation at camp solar. Just let me know which month you are free so we can get started. The second is slated for next Monday and since the weather is so bad I figured might as well get that completed.

Hey I’m game. Where do you live?
Always enjoy helping folks with stuff.

I'm in VA and appreciate the offer but these will be easy one compared to the 2 growatts 12k I mounted myself. My one wish would be to redo all the panels against the house. They can only do 4 vertically but wish I could redo them so I could have 8 vertical. But that would be so much effort and expense.

I’m like 30 minutes from the VA border so if you need help one weekend let me know.

What do you mean against the house?

I assume you don’t mean the roof.
Do you have them on a pergola or something?

If it means more production the work might outweigh the effort.

I finished the pellet stove install and have been running it sparingly over the past few days.
Heat output is far beyond what I was expecting, it has 5 levels. Setting 3 is plain crazy and can raise
the heat from 74 to 83 in under an hour. I'm very happy with the outcome and takes a tremendous load
off the batteries at night. During the day with terrible conditions, we can still charge the batteries and keep the
house warm. I'm guessing we have used 35-40 pounds over the past 3 days. Level 1 will still warm the house and
pellet consumption is very low. My price per pallet of hardwood is 319.60.
Sorry, I haven't read this whole thread. What brand pellet stove did you buy and how much did the stove cost, and how much did it cost to install?

It is a ComfortBilt HP61 3,000 sq. ft. EPA Certified Pellet Stove with Auto Ignition, it was $1875 on sale, I added the extension so I can put 80lbs in it. All the parts are readily available as well, I bought and extra pot and igniter. I did the install and it only cost two cerement boards and $5 dollars in a bolts.

I will take a picture of the first arrays I installed along the back of the house. I never thought it would take so many panels to just maintain in poor weather.

Yeah December seems to require almost 3 times the amount of panels VS summer.

I’m at 30kw and Will literally have to add more charge controllers because I’m out of MPPT channels.

I got started a little after 2:30 today and slowly progressing. They appear very well made as the seals, door, and latches are all heavy-duty. I prefer the 6500 battery terminals better but that is very minor. I can reuse the battery cables since they could be mounted close to the abb breakers.

Ah you got both of them.

I swear those look very similar to the Sol-Ark 15k.

Did you take the old stuff down or mount them someplace else and re run the wire?
