Found the catalog where I purchased my Y2K system. Unisolar 12 volt panels....$369 for 64 watts (equal to $10.78 per watt in todays money) Trace DR 12 volt inverter $1283 then ( $2400 todays dollar) All is still working, it is the back up to my back up. Thank God what you get for your dollar has improved greatly.
 
Funny thing when it comes to panel prices that if I had just waited a year or two to buy it would have been much cheaper. I was drooling over some new 370w panels for sale with free shipping for $85ea. (10 minimum) recently. I was paying 2 to 3 times that per watt last year.

If it keeps going down at this rate I will be able to replace my system for almost nothing in another few years. Probably get 1 - 500w solar panel free with every gas fill-up at my local Service Station.
