Here is a snapshot of my power bill over the last two years. Share your success with your off grid(ish) systems.

System was commissioned in August and making full power Sep 1 of 2023.

Wow my provider is not mobile friendly, the best I could get viewing as a desktop site.
Started in October 2022, expanded ~September 2023, will expand again before fall of 2024 and might even "cut the cord"
January and February 2024 were rough.

Here's my usage for the last 12 months. The grid consumption figure is a little misleading as I only really use the grid when my energy provider either pays me to use electricity or in the depths of winter when I desperately need to top up my battery. But even then I only charge when the rates are dirt cheap.

My grand total for the last year (excluding standing charge) was £21.34. So 0.02p per KWH.

Hoping I'll do better this next year. I now have 230A of charging power as opposed to 70A for most of last year, and I've almost tripled my battery capacity too, so should go into negative figures cost wise this time next year. Despite having to fork out some cash for electricity, which I really didn't want to do it's a much better result than I was expecting when I first set out down this path just over a year ago.

Also most of the grid usage when the electricity was free or I got paid by my provider was used to mine crypto, so when I factor that in I probably am in negative figures grid wise. And that's not including all the mining with the excess solar.

I started the system up late in 22, spring of 23 I cut the cord and went full off grid. Last summer (didn't get it online till Jan 1 24) I about doubled the size of my array. You can see my numbers so far this spring are about double. I am adding about 13kw more this late spring to get a little less gen time in the cloudy winter. Full electric house, shop, and 2 ev's.

Here is my daily grid energy usage averaged over 7 days comparing 2022 vs. 2023. Difference shows my hobby offgrid solar contribution and conservation.
