I happen to have the perfect size generator the inverter suggests but the THD don't match!

I see the EG4 6000xp calls for a generator with a THD of <3% and I found out the GL11000 at 240v has a THD of 5.5%.
Any thoughts?

Generator has been running about 61.5 hertz and I know I can get it closer to 60hz with some adjustments.
The gen volts are a little higher than 240v also. I can adjust or may need a new AVR?

IS this damaging to the inverter?
How bad is it to run a higher THD than manual says?

My loads run fine and no warnings from inverter.

This:

"THD of 5.5%."

is probably a maximum. "Actual" real-world is probably less.

I would think that if the AIO is not bitching about it you're fine.

today running load 70 to 90% each line and the hertz were hanging around 60.6.
when the load is off and gen is tickling the battery it fluctuates 61-62.
AIO? is that display faces?

The manual suggests staying below 3%. However, as discussed earlier, as long as you remain within the frequency range, there shouldn't be any problems. Another option you could consider is enabling GEN boost and controlling the input power from the generator, ensuring it stays between 60-70%. This way, the inverter can assist with loads if the demand exceeds the generator's output.

AIO = "All in One" = your EG4 device.
