Hey can someone tell me what number in the powMr settings is to to charge the battery back up is it setting 09 when it needs to be charge back up and is the charge settings to fully charge set to 28.8 ??
Is it called boost charge?

It would help if you specified your model and also battery type. However at a guess based on your mention of 28.8 you have a 3kW one. Setting #9 Battery Boost Charge Voltage with default of 28.8v changes depending on setting #8 Battery type. In your manual it will tell you if a setting applies to a particular battery type.

Once Boost voltage is achieved the battery switches from CC to CV. and setting #10 Battery Boost Charge time begins (some call this absorption) if you have selected either User defined Battery type or lithium in setting #8.

Settings #16-#21 are all for Lead Acid batteries.

Yes I have the 3kw and Lipo4 400ah and I have it on the right setting for battery type didn't know if boost charge was the setting to charge the battery

So it is setting 09 that is the setting I need to go to to setup to charge my battery?
Good idea to check it that it is at what it should be for your battery type. I have found that sometimes the manual specified settings are not what the unit actually has. Some people have reported that their PV charge current for #36 (for some reason my manual does not list this setting) and max charge current #7 (default is 60a but it can go to 80a which is what you need if want PV set to 80a) is very low.

Ok now I'm confused let me say it this way if Pv is not available it switches to Utility to charge the battery at 30amps so what setting is it that I set it up for to charge it to 28.8 to charge the battery when it needs to be recharged maybe I'm confusing you

If you want to charge from utility (when in AC bypass) at 30a than you set #28 to 30a. If you want it to charge to a max voltage of 28.8vDC that is what you would set for #9. The default with a Lf08 selection (#8) puts it lower at 28.4vDC. I find the 28.4 a better amount for my purposes.

Sorry that it is confusing. It seems rather straightforward to me.

ETA: BTW if you set AC charge at 30a and your max total charge at 80a that than limits your PV to 50a.
