Exactly. Tax time. It was a bit of a push. There’s quite a bit of investment behind this light.

It’s all working and powering a load.

I fully understand. I powered mine up 2 days ago. Still working on tying everything together in the critical loads panel in the house, but it's powering the barn. This time of year there isn't a lot of power but it is working.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with an "engineer's workbench" (no actual desktop visible)

Many times I've also expanded to the "engineer's floor" when the bench just doesn't quite cut it, same concept, just harder to navigate ?

I started seeing Blue after replacing an Eco Worthy PWM with a Smart 100/50
I just added a Smart 150/70 to handle an array expansion
I'm not a full blooded Smurf yet but I'm evolving

Here I am trying to justify 150/35 and the price drops being just too good to pass up.

I started with a 100/20, then added a 150/60. Both have exceeded my expectations. I have a lot more panels to put up and still haven't decided what the next SCC will be.

I have to deal with shade so have a number of strings going to a combiner box.
I was getting away with 3s4p on the 100/50 and didn't mind some clipping but I disliked how hot the CC got.
(195w panels - 20 some VOC and 10a)
with the 150/70 the CC runs much cooler
...and thanks to my son-in-law giving me (2) 300w panels I can continue putting the 100/50 to good use

Networking the 2 to synchronize was way easy and I seeing the total current production when looking at either

I started with one 150/35 right after the price drop to $184 and then a second shortly after. Perfect for 2kW strings in various directions.

Personally I like the idea of multiple smaller controllers versus just one big one.
