I have a DIY battery, 48 volt 560 ah. I’m considering buying the new EG4 chargeverter to charge my battery instead of using the inverter. I need a system that I can set and forget because I will be away from the system for extended periods.
I don’t and won’t have a generator, so I must power the chargeverter from the grid. Is there any plus to using the chargeverter vs just using the 6000XPs built in charger. In my situation both would have to connect to 240 AC from my 200 amp panel.
Any thoughts? Would I just be wasting $400?

Running only the Chargeverter to maintain your batteries and not connecting the inverter to the grid gives you much cleaner power if your grid has noise.
I do this here due to a noisy grid.
