Thank you for the thumbs up Tim. Like a wrote before, I don't understand how this will protect the panel and inverter at this location, but I love that it will. Also that this would be a good spot for it assuming that I shut down the grid and only use it when necessary.
I'm going to call midnight solar again on Monday just to verify that this is still the case, that the 300ac has a fuse and that it can connect straight to the lugs as the gentleman from Midnight Solar said in that youtube video while in Hawaii over a decade ago. Things might have changed?
I'll also call over to sig solar and see if they're good with it, maybe get an email sent from them saying so, just in case.
If something goes against this then I'll revisit Hedges' options which are clearly a bit more involved.
