Why is my Sol Ark 12k limited to 8000W PV to GridTie?

So I've had the Sol Ark 12k with panels, batteries, and grid-tied for a couple months. Now that we have more sun I'm seeing that there is an 8kW limit on the conversion of PV input to grid-tie output. The inverter specs state that the limit should be 9kW. Any suggestions on how get 9kW to the grid?20240606_183115.jpg20240607_154924.jpg

That's not the screen that limits grid sell. Go to this screen. I have the 15K, but 12K should be the same.

If you look at the specs for the 12k you'll find that the 12k is divided into:

8k AC inversion
PLUS
4k DC

Which means that the maximum AC output is 8k +/- (I usually get just over 8k)

Example
If you are exporting excess AC (such that the inverter would need to generate the max AC)
and if you also have a battery, and let's say you ran on and drained the battery over night
and the next day was a bright full sunny day
and your PVA was capable of outputting 12k

You would see that the SolArk would be:
generating 8k of AC
and taking 4k of DC and recharging your battery
8 + 4 = 12k

Bottom line... It's 12k TOTAL: 8k AC + 4k DC
Not 12k AC

Thank you both. Grid Sell was on and set to 9kW but made no difference.
About the specs, I read what you wrote, but I don't see that in the specs. Maybe the specs I have aren't for my inverter? Because mine definitely doesn't want to sell 9kW. Is it possible I don't have the right specs, give to me by the installer?

Check your software version. The latest for the 12K is 6.2.2.2 An update may increase the output.

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks like it's current on that update. I also noticed the specs on the enclosure stating the same, 9kW max. Any other ideas?

As ppl have commented: to get 12k out of that box your battery needs to need recharging and the loads or grid sell with 8K at the same time. 4K charge and 8K loads (etc.).
Should have called it 12kPV... (EG4 et. al...)

The MfG should REALLY start naming their products as for what they INVERT, not the PV capability.

Solark help tech said that the bar graphs are not accurate due to a bug. Confirmed this model will invert 9kW to the grid but that the speedometer style display is accurate. Seems to be true. I'm not usually around to see the live meter values.

This model will absolutely invert 9kw. My bet is a firmware update is in order. I think the 12k originally was only able to output 8kW, but a firmware update unlocked to 9kW.

Before I upgraded to the 15k, my 12k would routinely output 9kW.
