First: As a fairly new member and active reader of this forum, thank you very much! This community has provided me with a lot of value, being the source of answers to most questions I've found along my solar projects.

This is my first incursion on the residential Solar implementation (DIY), and after having my system up and running, I wanted to share my experience with Signature Solar (spoiler alert: good experience).
I've ordered a "kit" (EG4 18kpv, 6x EG4 LL rack, and a different choice of panels from the listed kit: Aptos 440w due to physical size requirements). I spoke with Celeste Steward on the phone to accommodate this change and ask her whether all the components of the kit were in stock. Three times. She said yes, yes, yes, and its delivery would be arranged within 1 week. She also said my credit card was going to be charged when the goods were shipped. She then sent me the itemized order for pre-viewing with which I call her back to confirm the same day (Apr-11).
Next day (Apr-12) I've got and email saying my order status was changed to "Shipped", providing a tracking number. That day my card was charged.
Later the same day (Apr-12) got an e-mail from Fedex Freight for scheduling a delivery appointment, for which I choose the first date available which was on Tue Apr-16, yes, two weekdays later.
Sure enough, Fedex was delivering the whole thing on the afternoon of Apr-16.

Maybe I was super lucky, but reading most of the detailed "bad experiences" in this topic, I felt the urge to share my positive story, as well as offer my sympathy with those who were not so lucky. It is very frustrating to make a big purchase like this an having a subpar experience.
As you can see I waited for a while before sharing my feedback, that means that all the equipment and materials were unpacked, tested and accounted for. The packaging was excellent and the freight chosen by Signature Solar, top-notch. Living in a rural area, freight companies are a PIA to deal with sometimes.

I don't have any post-sales feedback to share at this point, as everything worked flawlessly out of the box and I have not had an opportunity to talk to SS Technical Support yet. I've got my "commissioning" meeting coming up soon..

I've got good feedback to share about the EG4 products as well. I'll do that later.
Cheers.

Signature Solar’s service has been improving. Now that their older EG4 inverters have been mostly replaced by the LuxPower EG4 inverters, which are better in every way, the need for constant support has resided. The 18k has been out around a year now and MANY bugs have been fixed through multiple firmware releases.

It’s sometimes all about timing… you got in when many things had aligned for a better DIY experience. Thanks for the feedback 👍

Thank you so much for leaving this feedback here @sabues! I'll let Celeste know of your kind words! If you come across any issues, questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly at engagment@signaturesolar.com and we'll get you taken care of! ☀️

Hi @SignatureSolarJess , could you please direct me to an EG4 resource knowledgeable about the topics discussed in the following thread?

It's a short read, but I need to understand the displays on the LuxPower inverters from EG4 to better assist both forum members and my clients. I've pinged a few people from EG4 already, but no response and I would greatly appreciate some feedback from EG4 about these details.

Hi!! Let me see if I can get in touch with them!
@EG4_Eric

She also said my credit card was going to be charged when the goods were shipped.

It just occurred to me that this is misinformation, and I'd like to look into where you were told this. Our policy is to charge the card when the purchase is made to allocate the item to the customer and that any purchase verification can be completed before it is shipped.

That might be a coincidence, but it all happened next day for me. The charge on my card appeared around the same time as when the order status changed to "shipped". Thanks for clarifying for all readers!

Yeah I'm sure it just shipped same day :)

I bought a XP 6000, 2 EG4 48 V rack batts and 20 panels plus some other odds and ends and they were really good. My experience was GREAT! The deal they made me was a good bit better than what I thought I was going to get... The only problem is I have no idea on what to do with all this stuff but I will figure it out!
