Am i buying a decent hybrid and is it legitimate advice needed,

I've made up my my mind what I'm doing, goodbye 😊🍿🍰

My system is working rock solid on solar and AC, with no issues, I need an sunsynk installer to configure the batteries, so I won't be connecting any batteries to the sunsynk untill my electrician is MC registered with sunsynk, which is 3 months away, who will be able to get my inverter registered under warranty and fully commissioned with batteries installed,.

So for now I will be using an external battery charger and inverter hooked up to a 48 volt battery bank. for night time use, which is really no issue, and no complication for me.

Well hopefully others can read this and learn how not to DIY solar and benefit from some of our sh*tty comments

We might as well just call this the DIY solar sh*tty comment forum

Well you should read the the fucking manuals

It's a "Man" thing. You wouldn't understand.

Also I'm just about sick of the shitty comments here, so thanks to the people who have been helpful, but I'll not be coming back to this site because of the shitty comments.

Oh come on ... you're almost one of the guys now!

👎 You're the reason I'm leaving.

FTFY!

But seriously, glad things are functioning well.
Anticipating your return (if you get bitten by the bug.)

This is the problem with the world today. Nobody has a spine, and can't take criticism. We are teaching our children nobody is allowed to have their *feelings* hurt. Plain speaking is totally missing. Life is neither fair nor always kind. Probably best you not interact with very many people, internet forums are sub-optimal for that.

Taking criticism is one thing but flat out dismissing safety due to arrogance or some form of Dunning-Kruger effect is wild, if people start to act like that Darwin's law is likely to rear it's head.

This is a great how not to thread whith a lot of good examples of bad practices and why you should avoid them.

And I really wish the OP would have stuck with this. I want to see what happens with that inverter in the cupboard next to the utility meter.
I mean REALLY
I was thinking of starting a Pole whether her utility would catch her before the inverter would burn up.
I seriously don't think it would be a long-running experiment.

Further more how concern for safety an the well being of other's can be dismissed as criticism is a topic for another discussion. IF YOU WERE SCORN BY REJECTION OR CRITICISM join the @re heather thread.

Has anyone fitted a wind turbine to a sunsynk here ?

So far so good 😊, everything as ran smooth for 4 days now and has been solid, no faults being reported, no overheating issues, no fuses tripping,

My cupboard is now vented and all appropriate isolators are fitted with circuit breakers, and rotary switches, all to British standards standard 😊

Time now is 2.30 pm and I've already generated, 10 kWh of energy from my solar panels,

I finally got my sunsynk connect app today working.

On the picture does the e 9.6 kWh mean how much I've generated from the
solar panels today ?.

Electricity northwest came round to my house yesterday to upgrade my main fuse,.😊

Chuckles, I asked him what he thought of the inverter installation, and he said it looks good to me, all wired, within spec. He also said the fuse distribution board is wired up good both of which I did my self, chuckles 😋

He even checked my isolator switch and circuit breaker for the inverter which you can't see in the picture, all good he said, And all correct for your inverter specs, while he was here I got him to check my inverter breaker on my shed and solar wiring, all good he said. And all correct specs,..chuckles.😂

And just in case you don't believe me here's a picture of my upgraded fuse, and the picture is exactly northwest grid finished the job.

To my friend @Hedges, good morning, hope your well, and enjoying free electric 😂

Good morning hope your enjoying free electric,.😊 Chuckles ❤️

Bad luck there banana man, chuckles 🤣
And heather, wishing you the very best of luck with your installation.
By the way, I did see a video about the loop feed being used in older terraced and semi-detached homes, never ever seen that before in the UK but I did live in the south so maybe it's a northern thing. Seems to be a problem for people that want to add an EV to their family and have to get their main feed replaced because it can't handle the load.

Your post came at 14 minutes after midnight, my time 🌑

Yes, enjoying my "free" electricity I put so much money and effort into.

Using the grid as an unlimited battery for the past 20+ years has been great, but in 8 months I anticipate that ending.
My system was designed for net metering/grid backup, not peak shaving seeking zero import/export (doesn't have firmware for), so working on getting AC coupled batteries (Sunny Boy Storage) working.

That should cover daytime fluctuations and nights. For winter heating, reverting to clean-burning natural gas.

Also working on systems for other properties, including family and friends. Net metering for the next 20 years.

And I burn up my sh*t

Anyway it's good to see you're still with us 🤪
All I can say is you should buy a sunsynk 😊. Chuckles and fit your solar panels so they can be cleaned once a week, especially if your panels are old. Also by the looks of things I think you should keep that thing switched of.

Anyhow why blame me for your own errors. You've only got your self to blame for that mess

On a much more pleasant note, I managed to charge 50 miles into my EV today whoopee ☺️,..all free from my solar panels, I'm of for a joy ride now, 😁

It's nice to see you find the hired professional tightened mess up

I notice you have new service entrance wire, disconnect and new wire to your meter + added ground wire.

I hope it wasn't too hard on your wallet chuckles 😁

I wanted to ask you for some advice on my latest plan.

A friend of mine knows a friend, who has offered him four of these batteries https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/37544158...xFFvaqOQeq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY as part of a deal, they've all done less than 50000 miles and the warranty is upto 200000 miles for each battery , I can have four of these for 500 UK pounds, which is peanuts as one would normally sell for 350.00.

They can be easily converted to a 48v 4.4 kWh battery, which would give me almost 18 kWh of storage in a very robust high grade lithium battery,

Is there a way to test how long there expected to last.
