RV inverters for 50 amp shore line trailers.

HRTKD and Solar_Mann , l posted before I realized you had answered. Thank you

If you wire it in after the factory transfer switch it will only transfer 1 leg of the 50amp power. That’s why in the one I posted above used 2 victrons, 1 for each leg.

Gets more complicated if you want the entire panel powered off 1 inverter.

You have several options to consider with this situation.

2. You can purchase an autotransformer so that a single 120V inverter is converted into 240V split phase. Victron makes one of these.

The Schneider Conext SW inverters have an autotransformer built in for this purpose FWIW.

Curious where you ended up. I’m in a similar boat minus the generator/transfer switch. I’ll be installing a Multiplus into a 50 amp RV. Been reading a lot about a manual switch, position A for your 50 amp sites and position B for every other scenario - essentially joining the two poles. Not ideal but cheap and for us here it is very rare to find a 50 amp hookup.

I have a similar toy hauler. I have one question for the OP. What is on each circuit? Most RV's have the air conditioners on one circuit and everything else on the other. I Have an auto transfer switch that switches between my 5000w generator and 50A shore power. that goes into an ac panel that uses one leg to power the air conditioners and the other leg goes to a feeder breaker that goes to my inverter charger that in turn goes into my main RV panel. Check and see what is on each leg. You may not need such a large inverter or dual inverters.
