I am looking for a DC only power-station for camping use, primarily charged using shore power & Solar. Inergy makes one called Flex DC power station which looks good with a total of 100A DC output, but it looks like they haven't shipped any units yet to other customers waiting in line for over an year. Looking for some recommendation on alternative options. inergy-flex-dc-power-station

Do you mean 100AH?

The 1500 model says: "Battery: 1,069 Watt-hours nominal"
1069wh / (100A x 12.8v) = .83 hour runtime

Even if you meant 100AH, that would be 1069wh at 10.69v, not very handy.

Somethings not adding up.

I haven't even seen a prototype shown anywhere (as opposed to a few regular Flex's). Yes I have been waiting over a year.

I have confirmation from Inergy that the FlexDC will not be out until Mid-2022 - That is assuming they don't go bankrupt by then.

@bdvan Take it from someone who has been through this. Don't expect the Inergy DC unit anytime soon. I would be pessimistic even of the mid-2022 estimate. I got my Flex 1500 13 months after ordering. The latch holding the units together broke day 1 as soon as I connected the units. Took them over 3 weeks to get me everything needed to ship it back to them, and TODAY they just sent me an email saying they can't package their batteries safely and have to take 4 additional weeks to install a "reinforcement bracket" before shipping it back to me. Best case scenario, I won't have a working unit until 15 months after I ordered it. I wouldn't bother thinking about any Inergy product until:
  1. Inergy has caught up with their current orders
  2. Inergy physically has the unit in stock and read to ship
  3. You've read actual reviews from people who have received and used the unit for a couple months.
My last point I bring up because this may not be the best unit for camping. First of all, they warn you not to disconnect the unit. As I mentioned previously this is because the latches they use are extremely fragile and can easily bend. Not sure moving this thing around often is the best idea. Secondly, the LCD screens have no glass over them. They are completely exposed to getting damaged if anything touches them while you are moving them around. Lastly, Inergy may not be a company mid-2022 :cautious:

Cancelling my orders was a good move I guess. I have a Kodiak that has been kicking around in my van for over 2 years and it is built like a tank. I was expecting the same type of thing with this but obviously not the case. Today I am getting the Delta Max by EcoFlow delivered and at least their quality and product releases have been quite satisfactory.

Just a comment on the Inergy Flex. Ours performed flawlessly on our 5 month road trip, used in the back of my jeep to power fridges, and our RV when bookdocking. I also experienced the "latch" issue, but was able to use a strap around the unit. The latches are ridiculous and can't be overlooked. Horrible design. If you don't experience the latch issue, or are careful enough not to experience the latch issue I should say, the performance is what you'd expect from Inergy.

Sad to say, but exactly why I ordered more batteries last year. I do hope they make it.
