When checking prices on Will's links for Lishen 280-Ah cells, they all have an October 3 longest delivery date, which is almost 3 months. Given current conditions, what are most people seeing for delivery times? Thanks, Rob

Just had one order come in from China which took 2 months by train. Add another month or so at least if by boat. Shipping anything right now is slow and expensive, and it's going to take a while to clear up...

My last (a couple of weeks ago) took 2.5 months. Plan on at least 3 months and vastly increased shipping costs. With imports so backed up, you might be catching the Christmas rush now, and 4 months might be safer guesstimate.

average joe just got in his 280ah batteries in that he ordered in May 28 so exactly 8 weeks as he quoted
check his site out on utube there's a video on it,but the again he did pay more for 16 batteries ,i think it was about $100 a cell delivered

Don't depend on quoted shipping times for literally a "slow boat from China" to be accurate. Lots of factors involved, ship transit time is pretty much a given and fixed time. Currently there are massive delays in loading containers in Shenzhen (where the majority of cells are manufactured). Then there are delays unloading the containers in Los Angeles, further delays and backups in customs, and yet more delays (where your small order is last priority) to contact FedEx or UPS to have them picked up once they clear customs. Plan on 4 months and be pleasantly surprised, do NOT expect 2 months, don't even think about it for 3 months. Sign up for UPS and/or FedEx to notify you when a package is headed to you, and get a day or two notice before they arrive.

Set your expectations accordingly. All of these people receiving cells in the past month were loaded before the huge backup in Shenzhen started. Adjust accordingly.

"Waiting times for vessels to berth at the Yantian International Container Terminal in Shenzhen have “skyrocketed” from an average waiting time of 0.5 days to 16 days, according to Shehrina Kamal at Everstream Analytics"

Sorry if this question has been covered before, but is there any way to expedite the shipping? Like if I buy 16 280ah's, can I pay an extra $100 or two for faster shipping? If not, anyone want to do a group buy in SWF?

well, I ordered some lishen cells and it has been 110days and I have not even gotten a tracking number yet...
so if you are in a hurry you probably want to try and get someone who has stock.

Seems odd. Have you contacted the seller?

I tried to find a way. Actually, there are suppliers on Will's page who have 100-Ah batteries in stock and ready to ship, but they are expensive. I live in the Arizona desert and want enough power to run a 9k-btu 25-SEER heat pump all night during summer.

Ordered 4/23
Got the Fed ex tracking number 4/29
Fed ex tracking just went live yesterday with 7/19 set as delivery date

AFAIK, They sat on the boat off the coast of California for 3 or 4 weeks.

Wow! I am surprised that it takes that long. I ordered my cells from Exliporc on Alibaba on 4/27, shipped out on 5/10, ship reached the LA port on 6/8, UPS delivered to my door on 6/24. I wonder why the time lines are so much different.

100 bucks won't make the boat go faster or get it unloaded faster. Besides that, customs is backed up. AFAICT, these batteries are shipped on the down low. I'm not sure if airlines would even touch them if they knew what was in the box. I read somewhere that someone got an air freight quote and it was more than 50% of the cost of the batteries. But I think generally, they don't do airlines because airlines ask what is in the box.
