How does it end up if you're able to do a successful chargeback and the merchandise eventually gets delivered?

In September, Seplos Chris Ren announced the promotion of the Mason battery kits to the forum and was very responsive initially. My conclusion was the purpose of the promotion was to get some units in the field followed by hopefully good reviews and recommendations. As one of two known-to-me USA customers I can say that because of poor and incorrect shipping information, they will get the opposite result. I will recommend in their favor only if I receive my order AND they clean up their act about shipping information. Seplos Chris Ren, if you're reading this, you need to get correct tracking numbers out to the battery customers RIGHT NOW. Neither of us have received a valid tracking number. I hope the phony number you sent to me was an honest mistake and not intentional.
It works out a lot better than if you don't file a chargeback and the goods never get delivered. If the tracking info you have isn't valid, that's a huge red flag. I'd file immediately before you run into time issues, lots of folks around here can tell you about that situation.

Agreed. I will start proceedings Monday AM with my credit card company If not updated by then. One more day. I will also add poor reviews on Alibaba, here, and any site I can find where they do business. If I end up getting the gear, I will acknowledge that, and provide a report on the product quality, and remove any bad reports.

I'm totally inexperienced with this. I paid Seplos using paypal which then got charged to a credit card. To attempt a reversal, do I go to paypal or the credit card issuer?
I would do both. PayPal is the primary point but I would also advise my credit card issuer that the transaction is under dispute.
No I have not received my units yet as well. I am starting to get worried, but in emailing with Adam seems like my FedEx tracking order is legit? He mentioned a week or so ago that the container would be in the US soon but yet we are still waiting. One more email back and then I think its a conversation with PayPal and the CC?

jgilly - Are you a 3rd forum member who ordered Masons? How many? I ordered three. Do you have a tracking number that shows your correct destination? The numbers I've received are legit fedex tracking numbers, but not for my order. They all originate in Carson, CA and have been delivered to a destination other than me. So far those that are watching us are yelling scam, scam..., while we're holding on to hopium.
I ordered a press and connectors along with a battery breaker box from seplos . My tracking number was from Carson as well but the items did not show they had been picked up for about 3 weeks . Finally the status showed them in route and they were delivered . I am thinking they have a freight forwarder
Yes I ordered two of the mason units. I have a tracking number that will be 6 boxes when shipped (Seems about right) total 172#. The FedEx tracking number is referencing some Huin-Ocean invoice number and has a reference number that I believe is my order number. The location of origin is from Gardena CA which is probable just a re-packer from the containers. I am starting to worry this is a scam, but so far things seem legit ish.

I hope so. My fedex shows delivery to Illinois on the 2nd of Dec, but Seplos is telling me the boat will arrive in port on thr 15th. My order was placed Sept 10, so I think that is bogus.

My Masons are also in limbo after 3 months. They will NOT provide tracking info, but it seems both Alibaba and my credit card company are saying its too late to complain, so I am out of luck. If that is the case, Seplos is in for some REAL bad reviews.
Yes I got the same date for eta in the US. Got a reply to my email this morning.

that would completely ruin their reputation.
as far as i have seen by the replies here, they are using a freight forwarder.
lets hope the orders start showing up pretty soon , or at least seplos contacts the buyers

This remains to be seen. If the purchasers never see the batteries or get a refund, the $$$ is lost. If they get delivered someday my summary will be lousy and misleading communication to the extent I wouldn't have bought anything had I known.

Still hoping. 3 of us who ordered Mason's are chatting private message. Adam Han is telling me my order will be at port on the 15th now. Fedex tracking says it was delivered in Illinois on Dec 2. Order was placed over 90 days ago.
