Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out the best way to monitor (and to a lesser extent, manage) an EG4 3000 and the Seplos 3.0 BMS. I'm a bit new to 48v, so bear with me.
I set up solar assistant, and am awaiting the proper cables to connect it to both the battery and the EG4. I just have a few questions:
1.) Is there any reason to enable communications between the EG4 and the battery if I am hooking them both up separately to Solar Assistant? I might have also read somewhere that you can't have both anyway?
2.) What is the purpose of the CAN/RS485 port vs the "RS4851" port on the Seplos BMS? From what I understand solar assistant needs to connect via the "RS4851" port?
