I've been looking to get this but I can't find a 4s version only 8s? Is this the same unit and you can chose how many S you want?
Is the JK4S and 8S the same?

More than likely not unless it specifically says 4S-8S. Highly unlikely they make one of these.

heating pad option looked good but but it doesn't do a lot of power....
if you need additional current handling, use the heating pad port on the BMS to control a higher current handling relay. The cost is minimal and it gives you options even if you don't use it immediately.
