Well phooey... the string anemometer has been done before: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/8664789, not a string - but does use vibrational mechanics.

Totally unrelated to solar or batteries here are a few things I've printed in the 3 weeks I've had my sovol printer.

PS my son says dad get a haircut! I told him that isn't an essential business to me.

Brilliant idea! Wish I'd known that existed a couple days ago before I ordered the Wiha's. But I needed new drivers at least anyway. A couple are pretty chewed up from dogs who got a hold of em over the years. Most of the tools in my bag were bought when I got a '70 VW bus back in the early '80s. Will opt for non-insulated ones going fwd and just use this stuff!

I am very very close to getting one yet I will be researching them. I really dont have the budget for one at the moment though waiting for some of this world shut down to change and go in a better direction. Give me time to look around.

This would be a good one but since mine will be outdoors It fits perfect in a Pelican 1020 micro case. I have mine in one which the buzzer will fit. I will be mounting my buzzer in different location though and keeping LED at the display.
