Confirm settings for 6-pin eg4-ll v2 (warning code 19)

I'm testing an eg4 3000 v2 with a single eg4-ll v2 battery and for my life in me I cannot get them to talk to each other.

eg4 3000 v2 has been updated to the latest firmware
eg4-ll v2 has been set to inverter mode as per the manual
I've tried both the eg4 supplied 1-2 and 7-8 pin cables - the manual does state RS485 communication over ports 1 & 2
I've tried setting the battery ID to both 1 (on, off, off, off, off, off) and 0 (all pins off)

None of these have worked and warning code 19 turns off the inverter output unfortunately. I've read all the warning 19 posts here and I've resorted to setting battery type to USE for now but would like to get these 2 working as I'm still testing the system.

Can someone confirm what battery pin settings and which cable worked for you, specifically for version 2 of the eg4 3k and version 2 of the eg4-ll battery, or any ideas on what else I can try?

thank you!

I think I had the same problem on my LifePower4 batteries. Try reversing The cable. Seems to matter which end connects to the battery and the inverter.

you must be thinking of a different scenario, it's not a cable that can be reversed. Different connectors on each side, USB on the inverter side and RJ45 on the battery-side.

I see what you're saying. The 6000ex uses a different cable for battery communication. Looks more like a standard ethernet and is very specific about which end is which. Sorry for the useless post.

?

no worries, thanks for the suggestion!

Solved after finding a youtube video explaining the 6-pin panel is reversed on some eg4-ll batteries!

ID 1 is NOT on the side (right) that has the ON label, it's on the opposite side. Reversed it and communication with the EG4 3k is now fine.
Crazy stuff.

Do you happen to have a pic of the dip switch settings you used? I have tried multiple ways and still can’t get my code 19 to go away.
