I will leave that to the courts. In a Jury trial Trump is likely to walk away a free man, even if he is guilty, he just needs one person on the jury to refuse the evidence presented.

That's called "Jury Nullification" and it isn't a well known fact here in the USA. Jurors are led to believe that they must follow the law when rendering their decisions, or that they must explain themselves... None of which is true. In fact, the concept of a unanimous jury decision was put in place because of some seriously respectable wisdom.

I have sat on a jury, it was an open and shut case in ny view, with a reluctant witness identifying the armed robbers who were leaving the scene of the crime (gang members) and they still got off because of the mistrial. My oppionon on the merrit of jury trials is pretty dim same for elected judges. With 40% of the people having a favourable opinion of Donald Trump and many of those outright cult members who ignore the evidence, good luck finding a nonpartisan jury.
With 40% of Americans believing in creationism, I am not surprised with the amount of hostility towards science.
I have no problem with people being religious, just don't make it the law of the land.
