Solar eclipse cuts production

No graph, but I noticed production lessened as well here in Louisisana, where we had about 40% max coverage of the sun by the moon. Pretty cool to watch through my welding hood. Looking out over our property, everything had a slight yellow tint to it. My wife and I watched the eclipse for a while, as we'll almost certainly never see another.

Down in Baja we had a partial eclipse. The decreased insolation was visible. Kind of like when smoke from a fire obscures the sun. I have a 2100 watt array and would usually be getting about 900 watts at that time of day. I looked at my controller and was getting just over 250 watts.

2024?

Hey Zapper, I am not an astronomer by any means, just going by what the local media folks were saying. I believe they said the next one was 2046 - probably referring to the next one visible in our area.

April 2024 Total Eclipse will be even better for your area. The media likes to play up that once in a lifetime.

No eclipse for me yesterday, made a whopping 1.1kwh from ~9kw of arrays....
PA should be a good spot for the 2024 eclipse pending weather.
That great ball of fire did give me this around an hour ago along with 24.2kwh today.
