Catch, make or grow everything you can.
and the Deye 8k price point is...? lower? This looks super similar to the Deye 8k i have, inside the wiring cabinet part.

I was trying to insinuate the OEM for the inverter, not a direct comparison. The Deye 8k was clearly very different spec wiseand the Deye 8k price point is...? lower?
Seems that Victron have the low idle consumption awards, but pricy equipment to buy. Depends on your budget - low solar in Alaska half the year is a tough one to deal with any other way.good catch I'm more interested in consumption under low load. I could have rephrased that better and I apologize. I am off grid and when away 95% of the time I was wondering what I would burn running Starlink and a couple of Ring cameras. Right now I am burning 100-200 watts using a SW 4024. Load is 37-140w and without heating option I average about 100-115 watts all in. 200w when heating and that is only when auto heat kicks in. I am looking for an efficient low draw system and I just received a 6000xp for its low idle consumption and will report my findings. This is just in the testing phases and I am open to other options as well.
Here is another thought after taxes it is $0.56 per kWh. $25 usage fee a monthSeems that Victron have the low idle consumption awards, but pricy equipment to buy. Depends on your budget - low solar in Alaska half the year is a tough one to deal with any other way.
good point. Are there any low cost inverter suppliers that actually stand behind their product?
You will need to translate EV pack BMS protocol to emulate supported battery for this inverter. Not so simple. So use an EV battery pack at 380vDC? problem solved??
Only if you want closed loop communications. You will need to translate EV pack BMS protocol to emulate supported battery for this inverter. Not so simple.
Inverter may refuse to run without it. HV safety and all that stuff.Only if you want closed loop communications.
It says that it works with lead acid batteries.Inverter may refuse to run without it. HV safety and all that stuff.
you missed the @Will Prowse bit in your postingI wish someone would try it and post how it goes...so I don't have to!
