Eg4 18KV making loud sound

Eg4 18kv inverter sound
We just recently installed the 18kv Eg4 inverter and it seems to make quiet but of sound even with minimal load. The cooling fans seems to run loud.any one had similar issues.is there anything to rectify it. I have enough space around the unit for free flow air. Appreciate your help

I believe 6kw is the threshold when the fans kick in. You have over 7.5kw of pv coming in.

I replied to the Fb group post you made also. The PV is high enough to engage the fans. But it really sounds like you have the RSD button engaged.

That sounds about right to me, you're pushing almost 9 kilowatts to the grid and I see there is no battery connected.

Are you talking about the normal fan noise or the knock at 5 seconds? The knock sounds like it is coming from something else. I'd say your 18kPV is fine.

Eg4s are not known for quiet operation. May want to look at something like Solis which are nearly passive in operation.

I'm guessing it's still effectively silent even with the two internal fans? Certainly compared to any eg4 aio?

Not really, though I've never heard any other inverter - it's quite a whir (being small fans, I guess). The fans come on when there is more than about 50A battery charge or discharge. Haven't noticed them for PV -> House/Grid production alone.

You'd want it to be in an outbuilding, not inside a house.

That is normal sound behavior for my unit. Is your 18k indoors or outdoors? In a climate controled space or not? The existing fans are overkill because they have to cover all applications, they are NMB 08025VE-12P-GLD weatherproof fans, I believe IP68. They run at something like 7000 RPM and have high airflow and static pressure. However you can replace them with much quieter fans if the unit is not going to be under super high heat stress or at risk of getting wet/extremely dusty...
