Cliff notes:
2 6000xp’s provide a grid connection to the 18Kpv.
Show how the 18Kpv can pull for the grid (if enabled) when a heavy load turns on.
Show how the 6000xp responds when a large dump load is dropped on the 6000XP’S. (the XPs simply convert the AC dump load into DC charging the batteries).

I'm surprised how well the 6000xps can handle surge in your video. The surge capacity of them combined is incredible. I still haven't found something to trip them yet. Been using mine daily

I was pulling a combined total over 19,000 watts through the pair of 6000xp’s. AC charge and grid bypass. As I increased the demand from the grid bypass the 6000xps throttled their AC charging. (Edit: Include diagram...need to confirm numbers...don't remember if I was recording)

Nice job...very interesting. Not too hijack too much & happy start a new thread if preferred. However, I'm wondering about a few related things regarding 18kPV 's & 6000XP's.
BACKGROUND: Currently meeting our needs is a 6500EX (have another new in the box still that was intended to be added for the house we're building), 6 Lifepower4's & 5.6kW of bifacials while we live in a 5th wheel while building our off-grid home.
I also recently aquired a new 18kPV that I've decided to use in place of the 2 6500EX's & as well as a PowerPro coming for our actual home. I was looking at adding 2 more PP's & likely a 6000XP to help facilitate my 23kW of panels as well as one more to maintain my 2 RV pads with power separately.
Since acquiring all this, I'm now hearing its not recommend to use my Lifepower4's WITH the PowerPro's with the 18kPV...atleast not yet. Warranty concerns? WTH? It's there an update coming to adapt for this? Am I misinformed? I have spent nearly $24k with SS in the past 18 months for this & budget for the other additions ($$$$) as noted in the next 6-12 months.
Living off grid is about having a back up for your backup, hence the 6000XP adding to but also backing up the 18kPV & vise versa. They will play nicely together long term, correct?
Thoughts on battery scenarios with what I have to avoid short or long term complications or warranty concerns? Thx so much, I very much appreciate this site & ask those who have helped me make so much possible!

No Warranty problem dont worry about that. The PP will not communicate with the Lifepower4s. You can use the together without comms but keeping your cells balanced is always better when the batteries can talk to each other.

Thank you. I'd really prefer to use them WITH the PP's if at all possible.

Sorry...using more than one different inverter, even if related manufacture, is a bit concerning & new to me. Not to mention, more than one type of battery...again even if related. (EG4)

So is there plans to reconcile this battery communication complication in a future update? Especially concerning the high numbers of Lifepower4's that both I have & that have sold in the past 2 years. I'm guessing it is & has been your work horse to date...but I'm guessing the PP will become the new work horse. I also imagine I'm not & won't be a unique scenario.
As noted above reply, I was just wondering about maybe using the PP's with the 18kPV & then the LP4's with the 6000XP? Would this address the communications & balancing issues & thereby allow the Bluetooth boondoggle to function fully? Thx so much!

No issues with the bus this year...so nothing to upload. The only issue that occurred in the last 18 months was the fuel gauge "float" fell off. I also replace the spare tire (manually) with pry bars and used hair conditioner for lube.

I like playing mad scientist with solar gear as much as the next guy but I'm trying to understand the practical application of this setup.... other than have redundancy for an off grid situation. The title was a bit confusing as well since the 18Kpv has a grid input already. I can see the redundancy benefit for off grid though. Any other reasons? Always willing to learn

Only benefit would be 24,000 watts of continuous inverter output.

I can relate to that need. That's why I went with 2 Sol-Ark 15k's in parallel... I have 3 EG4 Power Pro batteries as my main battery bank for daily use with a rack of LL V2's for reserve power if needed. Appreciate you sharing. Fun stuff.
