On the monitor side, this worked perfectly. The only thing was that the "power USB" GX plug didn't work. One of the regular USB plugs did. Popped right up, no resolution problems or adjustments at all. Touch screen even works.

Good to know there are alternatives. If I ever decide I want a larger screen, I'll keep this one in mind.

It looks like the screen you linked to has all the plugs going in one of the sides. The Touch 50 plugs into the back, so all the cords are hidden.

Figured I'll throw this in, my CCGX is out in the power building, so I usually use my phone and the VRM app for monitoring and tinkering. Decided to pick up a cheap iPad and permanently mount it on the wall and leave it plugged in all the time displaying the VRM page, it's very useful, but now I can't keep looking at it in the corner of my eye.

It’s what I ended up doing too. I took my old iPad and just leave it plugged into power and keep it by the solar equipment when I’m at my off grid property. I take it with me when I leave. Works perfect!

If there’s a down side that would be one. Although they make 90 degree HDMI and USB adapters to help but not hide. The other side is that it does not require AC adapter for power like tablets. For the price difference it works for me. Nice alternative not tied to another OS Or app. Comes directly from the GX.

I probably have a half a dozen old android phones/tablets laying about, and I've intended to do the same... it's just not filtered up to the top of the priority list since it's so easy to access on my phone... from bed, or wherever... :)
