Apexium 280ah Enclosures

I was wondering about @Quattrohead and his opinion on a couple different ones.

The Seplos V3 BMS does active balancing internally. See Andy at Off-Grid-Garage's recent videos about it. They are the same as the Apexium cases.
Yet, the active balancer is always on, therefor destroying the cell balance, the BMS native balancing is quirky at best, so I'll stick with the V2 ( also because comm. Support for my inverters is best with the V2)

Yes I was just letting him know that's probably what Apexium meant by active balancing included, because there won't be a seperate unit for it.

In one of Andy's latest videos, it seems he got a firmware update that fixed a lot of the balancing problems. I didn't get to watch the whole video, so I don't know the results. Did they help you?

Could you post the video link? I’d like to take a look. Yep got back with me. Seems it wasn’t included but perhaps they do not know the BMS included will handle some balancing? My cells are brand new of course and they are all very close to being balanced. But before I put 1700lb worth of batteries somewhere, I wanted to confirm I had what I need to keep them in tip top shape.

Both of these videos go over the balancing issues that Seplos was having, and his fix.

Mind you, this is all dependent on if you got the Seplos V3 (with active balancing) or the Seplos V2 (10E with passive balancing, that most of us have and love).

After my initial tests I completely abandoned it..
Also lack of compatibility with the v2 was a major downer ( for me and my setup)

You'll be better off getting a controllable neey 4a active balancer..
Will fit nicely in the space between pressure plate and BMS too

My kit is branded Apexium. How can I tell which version?

Branded “apex 48200” on the BMS box.

On the BMS you'll find a sticker..
Also V2 is based off the main battery negative > BMS > negative busbar

V3 main battery positive > BMS > positive busbar
