Is there a list of Inverters that work with Home Assistant using ModBus or similar protocols? I know that it can be done with Sol-Ark, but I have not been able to find any definitive information on other inverters.

I couldn't find a list. I found a bunch of threads on here and other sites showing different uses but no single list of inverters that work with it. Lots of victrons and voltronics.

I use Solar assistant and MQTT broker to communicate to Home assistant.

Google search for you inverter and home assistant. If it exists it will take you to that community page. There are many integrations.

Once you find the integrations, you can check if they have to connect through a cloud service that the inverter connects to, or if it can connect locally to the inverter.
