I have a class A motorhome with a Southwire 41301 120v 30A transfer switch. The Motorhome has a generator and thus the need for the transfer switch . My problem is that when I plug the Motorhome into my Gro-Watt inverter the transfer switch displays a open ground and will not engage. I've tried a neutral ground bond and that did not fool it. I plugged my RV into an Ecoflo delta and the same thing happened. What are your suggestions for getting around this? When I'm boondocking I don't want to run the generator. Thanks K

Where did the N-G bond actually connect? Needs to be at the supply (inverter).

If there is no bypass for the protection features consider replacing the transfer switch.

Possibly just add a second transfer switch between the existing and the breaker panel to have the inverter wired in with the inverter power bypassing the protection.

The generator satisfies the grounding needed for the transfer switch to work. I'm investigating connecting the generator and the power input grounding wires.

I was directed to this by someone on facebook. Posting this sort of stuff on Facebook is so frustrating people who don't read the post start commenting on it and have no clue what they are blathering about.
