What charger to charge 48v bank and a few questions

I use this: https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-Converter-Switching-Regulated-4-Digital/dp/B08JPKQD41 They also make a 24a which I also have. I use them both, set to 51.4v and plugged in to the grid to keep my banks from going to low on my off grid system. They have been excellent performers.

    Megarevo RxLNA Discussion

What if you connected your grid to the generator in rather than the grid in? Wouldn’t that prevent all back feed?

    Megarevo (R10KNA) parallel on-grid installation

I just completed a virtually identical situation. I had a growatt 12kW with 8kW panels (18-445w Canadian Solar 3S6P) and 60kW (4-15kW lifepo4, 304AHx16 cells, JKBMS) battery storage. I replaced the single Growatt with a pair of Megarevo R10KLNA units in parallel and revised the panel/string...

SC48120-MPV Addition to SPF 12000T DVM MPV Inverter

The unit came with a usb to serial connector, but who still has serial ports...? both books show rs485 and canbus capabilities. I shouldn't need a shinephone wifi module to see the unit, but ordered one anyway.

SC48120-MPV Addition to SPF 12000T DVM MPV Inverter

I've added a SC48120-MPV stand alone solar charge controller to my existing SPF 12000T DVM MPV Growatt 12K Inverter so i can add even more panels. Charging works fine but I'm trying to figure out how to get the new SCC to speak/report with/to the main inverter. Seems like I require an RS485...

Growatt 8k low voltage alarm recovery

My 8000T begins beeping twice per second when the battery falls below the 49v setting. Once it rises above 49v, the beeping doesn't stop. How do I reset that so it stops beeping? I've power cycled the PV, inverter and cut all battery power once it rises above 49v, but the beeping persists.

48v battery to power 24v bus

i upgraded from 24v lead acid to 48v lifepo4. I couldn't just dump the lead acids and had two small 24v inverters so i got a 15a 48v to 24v buck converter and set my system up to charge the 24v lead acid bank from the 48v lifepo4 bank, then ran my 24v inverters from that. Super cool as the 48v...

    Smallest 48v BMS?

AWESOME! It has exceed all expectations. The system was built to provide internet connectivity to public school students in low income neighborhoods so they could do their homework online without a home internet connection needed. It is shuffled from neighborhood to neighborhood, community...

    Smallest 48v BMS?

It is a great unit. Pricey, but worth it for my application. Self-contained, self-sufficient mobile wireless broadcast system. This is the prototype unit.

    Smallest 48v BMS?

Not really bad, but enough to reduce capacity. Certainly enough to warrant automation. Maybe 500-1000mv

    Smallest 48v BMS?

System already exists, but without a bms. I’ve been manually balancing quarterly but would like an automated option. I use a TP-Din Sc48-20 from tycon systems. https://www.tyconsystems.com/tpdin-sc48-20v2+

    Smallest 48v BMS?

I have need for a small 48V BMS to balance a 25Ah, 48V 7P, 14S 18650 pack with a 110w solar charge and a 20w constant load. Max amperage is <3A so a 5A BMS would be plenty. Does anyone know of a 48V, 5A BMS or 14S, 4.2V active balancer that would keep my pack happy without overspending or...

Epever controller 90% 20% soc charge perameter Q

I have a 6415an. My settings and the journey I’ve taken getting my lifepo4 bank dialed in are chronicled here. For you, I’d adjust the boost duration to 30, and review the manual which explains the voltage configuration flow. For example, your low voltage disconnect/reconnect settings above will...

Epever Tracer 8415 AN controller any good

I have a 6415an that I mostly like. Been in production since 9/19 with no failure. Used it for a sealed lead acid bank the first year and lifepo4 since with no issue. Running it at max (60a) in the us Virgin Islands it gets to 120f. I added a small usb fan which keeps it under 105f. A little...

Struggling with basic LiFePO4 settings in Epever Tracer

That's almost certainly the problem. Disconnect the cells completely, then reconnect the cells in parallel. Add the power supply to the paralleled group of cells and allow the cells to charge up to 3.6v or so. If your power supply can do constant voltage, constant current, let them saturate...

don't think so. you have to export to save and import to load

charge controller settings for 10% to 90%

you can create multiple profiles in Epever via the software, and save them to your computer. More of a manual process, but totally works the same way.

Question about MPP Solar and Float Voltage - not necessarily MPP Solar specific

i've found that by setting the boost, float boost recon voltages close together, the controller hands off the CC function from a timed boost control to float mode. I adjusted my boost voltage to 53.9v, float to 53.85 and boost recon to 53.8, and my boost duration back to 10 minutes as the 30...

Epever 6415AN doesn't respect my settings

After quite some time, I've finally gotten the controller stabilized at the settings i wanted. Using a narrow range of boost, float and boost recon voltage settings and a short boost duration, this configuration boosts from initiation in the morning until 53.78v. It spends 10 minutes there then...

How to set up my EPEVER Tracer-AN MPPT Tracer5415AN, 50A 12/24/36/48VDC,

yes it should. In fact, it was set to 16 (over and over) but once I save the config and close it, it reverts to 12 every time. See Post https://diysolarforum.com/threads/epever-6415an-doesnt-respect-my-settings.18833/ for the exhaustive testing to finally say... ok, whatever. I'd be curious if...

How to set up my EPEVER Tracer-AN MPPT Tracer5415AN, 50A 12/24/36/48VDC,

    Hi sampler. I have a very similar system. 2S4P, 2,860w solar array, EpEver 6415AN and 16 Lishen 272AH Lifepo4 cells in 16S1P, 48v configuration. I also have three simple inverters, a 3,000w, 48v, a 1,500w, 24v and a 500w, 24v feeding several different circuits. I've attached my current settings...

Question about MPP Solar and Float Voltage - not necessarily MPP Solar specific

I'm still tweaking my settings. Currently reducing my boost voltage from 54v to 53.7v, and increasing the boost duration from 10 minutes to 30 to add more CC before floating without running the voltage up so high. Can't go too far or I won't get back to float during a cloudy period. I've been...

  30. jnrhome

Question about MPP Solar and Float Voltage - not necessarily MPP Solar specific

Csimmer: The problem with that configuration is that there is no absorption at bulk voltage. As soon as you hit the max voltage, the BMS will disconnect and the voltage will drop back to something less than the bulk voltage. As soon as the voltage drops, the BMS restores charge and it will run...

Tracer3210AN float voltage not measuring up

RBVS is remote battery voltage sensor Apologies, but your controller doesn't have it. I have a 6415AN and it comes with this port https://www.epsolarpv.com/upload/file/2103/Tracer-AN(50-100A)-Manual-EN-V3.1.pdf https://www.epsolarpv.com/upload/file/2103/Tracer-AN-Manual-EN-V2.1.pdf

Tracer3210AN float voltage not measuring up

I wonder if the RBVS interface connection would help? I see a variable difference between controller voltage and battery voltage. It wanders between .08v under when not charging to as much as 1.1v over under heavy charge. I've adjusted my voltages to compensate, but it's really estimated as a...

Epever 6415AN doesn't respect my settings

I find that I can make some adjustments that take immediately. others take days to kick in. For instance, when in float, I can adjust float voltage up or down and see it ramp up or down almost immediately. However, when in float, the boost recon voltage changes don't seem to matter at all. What...

Epever 6415AN doesn't respect my settings

so I've had some confidence build as I slowly adjusted settings up, top balanced a bit, adjusted up, etc. The controller was appropriately responsive and took my settings changes pretty quickly and repetitively. After topping out the settings, I let it run for a few days to confirm that it was...
