What if you connected your grid to the generator in rather than the grid in? Wouldn’t that prevent all back feed?

My 8000T begins beeping twice per second when the battery falls below the 49v setting. Once it rises above 49v, the beeping doesn't stop. How do I reset that so it stops beeping? I've power cycled the PV, inverter and cut all battery power once it rises above 49v, but the beeping persists.

That's almost certainly the problem. Disconnect the cells completely, then reconnect the cells in parallel. Add the power supply to the paralleled group of cells and allow the cells to charge up to 3.6v or so. If your power supply can do constant voltage, constant current, let them saturate...
