    More S.S. Disappointment

Thanks for asking but I think I will save my questions for a different post. In fact, while waiting for a reply from SS I have found many options to consider that answer my questions here on this forum. What I really needed was some reassurance since I'm not gifted in the electrical or solar arts.

    More S.S. Disappointment

I've purchased 26 panels, 4 inventers, and 6 batteries, etc. and I can never get any help from them. The one time I got help was a year ago on the phone. Be prepared to wait. Their email support is useless. They will key in on one thing and bail on the whole email. Buying from them is easy...

Want to buy new 48v system and have some questions...Need advice

I had problems with EG4 batteries staying in balance but believe it's been fixed. 6 EG4 48v 100 AH LifePower4 batteries installed in the rack with + - connected at top of buss bar. I moved the neg cable to the bottom of the buss bar and upped the cable to 2 gauge. So far, it's running...

Inverter will no longer turn on. (Growatt SPF 3000tl lvm-24p)

I have two growatt 48v 3K's. That's disappointing they wouldn't protect themselves and shutdown.

How are you overloading the inverter?

    Multiple Growatt mixed sizes

Now I have two 3k's running in parallel single phase for 6k total. The two 3K in split phase wouldn't be enough for everything. I need to add more panels. And you can't run 3 units in split phase. Any other option than replacing the 3k's with 5ks'?

    Multiple Growatt mixed sizes

I have two 3K growatt's connected in parallel now. They are running 120v. All is working good now. What I'm thinking of doing is adding another system so I can run the 240v circuits. My plan is to have the two 3K's run the 240v and get a new 5K to run the 120v. But I'm not sure if you can...

    Can't find a 100 amp 60 vdc circuit breaker

The battery specs are EG4 Lithium battery 51.2V (48V) 5.12kWh with 100AH internal BMS. I should have said the circuit breaker goes between the batteries and the growatt-inverter

MY Growatt's call for a 100 amp 60 vdc circuit breaker. But I can only find 100 amp 12-48 vdc. Are these ok?

    Protect Growatt from freezing

I can't find a thread on protecting the equipment from freezing. Everything I find is about batteries while charging. I'm planning my next project with the equipment in our shed. Growatt says to keep it above freezing. What direction should I be looking for a solution? Thanks

    Please help me

Again, I'm new to this. But I believe there are better ways to connect the SCC and Inverter to the batteries. I believe the way you have them connected will cause the batteries to become imbalanced. Hopefully, someone will comment on this.

    Please help me

Newbie here. I made this mistake. If you did your wiring again, make sure the lugs, washers and nuts are in the right order. As I found out, a lock washer makes a good resister.

Will's video using the Growatt and a 48v battery rack, so simple. I got started buying the parts but I'm stuck on Growatt. I'm measuring the V at the output side of the combiner box, right before the CC. The voltage is also shown on the CC, There is a load on the system. ps It's been working well for 6 months. The high of 600w comes from 28V x 21 amps. These number are read from the CC screen. Charge Controller...

    High Voltage I don't understand

I have a 24v setup (27-28 usually) that can jump to 50v. The highest values I've ever seen are 21 amps and under 600 watts. I've measured the V output from the combiner box to verify what the charge controller is showing. Is something not working in the combiner box? Any help is appreciated...

    Grounding Victron Confusion

I'm reading the manual for a Victron MPPT 150 - 45 SmartSolar Charge Controller. I just would like clarity on grounding. In the manual is says don't connect the charger to a grounded PV array. I must not understand that statement. I have a combiner box with a ground and lightning protection...
