Not all Drill-Free roof mounts are made the same.

Who here has used the Drill-Free roof mounts? I'm curious, which style did you have between the 2 shown below? (It can be in black or white) If you had what I refer to as the "Bad Style" - Did you have any issues drilling and securing your panel? Before I knew there was a difference: I...

What is the best choice for reflective surface paint under Bi-facial panel(s)?

How would one attach it to the roof of a sleeper box, without having to put holes in the roof?

What is the best choice for reflective surface paint under Bi-facial panel(s)?

If I go with this kind of paint I would use it to cover the entire roof, seen in black, on this box that will be using. The rest of the box will be painted white with stripes to match the cab. (The box currently on the truck is for the R&D work to be done, allowing for mistakes to be made and...

What is the best choice for reflective surface paint under Bi-facial panel(s)?

Thanks. That could take care of two issues with one application; by keeping the inside of the box cooler and help reflect the sun under the panel.

What is the best choice for reflective surface paint under Bi-facial panel(s)?

YES - If one plans for it and you mount the panel at an angle, like a wind deflector. GRIN (That way I would get something from it vs nothing; when the sun is behind me and reflecting off the roof.) Every little bit helps.

What is the best choice for reflective surface paint under Bi-facial panel(s)?

Having one panel is why I would like to do as much as one can under the circumstances.

What is the best choice for reflective surface paint under Bi-facial panel(s)?

Thank you. It saved me over $4,000USD, in hotel fees, last fall when I took it out west and back. I stayed in it for 41 days.

What is the best choice for reflective surface paint under Bi-facial panel(s)?

BTW - Here is the specs on the panels I just purchased. One panel will be roof mounted on the sleeper box and the other panel will be used as a portable one. If they perform well - I'll buy more for use at home too. (I current will be using them with an AC200MAX.)

What is the best choice for reflective surface paint under Bi-facial panel(s)?

Anyone here know which would be the best choice to use to reflect the sun under a Bi-facial panel; Gloss White or Chrome "Mirror" like paint? FTI - The ONE 200W Bi-facial panel will be roof mounted on the sleeper box of my G3500 Project, aka Toy Hauler. It will be higher in the back for two...

Renogy 50a dc dc mppt charging profile w/engine on

I recall, Will talking about sticking with 400W of panels so you don't have to up size the wiring and you can use some kind of connectors. (Sorry forgot what they were called.)

Renogy 50a dc dc mppt charging profile w/engine on

Very interesting. I'll be keeping up with this thread. I don't want to hijack this thread in any way! I hope my question(s) and idea could help others interested in this DC to DC MPPT and how I would like to use. IF this unit can do it - I have 2 alternators on my Rig and don't plan to have...

Do they make a Charge Controller or something that can handle the following?

Help brainstorm HOW TO - if at all possible. Do they make a Charge Controller or something that can handle the following? Or will I have to make something myself? (I tried contacting Renogy and Victron directly. I could not find their phone number.) So, I'm reaching out for help as I'm running...

Wanting to charge a 200MAX through the same port with 2 different charging systems.

With a 200MAX you can charge up to 900W in the PV port. (That's the one shown on the left in picture above. The brick normally goes in the one on the right.) Now, the 200MAX would not know if it is coming from panels or an Alternator. The key thing is to make sure one does NOT go over the...

Wanting to charge a 200MAX through the same port with 2 different charging systems.

FYI - I'm trying not to use the brick for the 8mm port for charging. WHY - I would prefer not to have the Noise from the brick, or the extra heat that will come off it and then there is the extra cords to deal with. Plus I don't really trust the 8mm plug while driving on our roads. The PV port...

Wanting to charge a 200MAX through the same port with 2 different charging systems.

Having both charging circuits connect to one plug and enter the Inverter in the same port is what I would prefer to do and I need help figuring out how to do it. It's why I thought the of the switching system. (Similar to the manual switch RVs use to switch between the different batteries...

Wanting to charge a 200MAX through the same port with 2 different charging systems.

There HAS TO BE a WAY! I would like to come up with a way to be able to charge the 200MAX through the PV port using charging system 1 & 2 listed below. I would prefer to use the PV Charging port on the right and switch between the 2 ways and times I want to charge. UNLESS - I could do both at...

Anyone have first hand knowledge about the 3 Solar Generators that have made my list?

I've decided to go with the Bluetti - AC200 MAX (without an extended battery), for my rig setup and to use around the farm where there is no electricity. When I purchase it is another story. Grin & lol I hope to be able to get it before my next road trip. (In the last two weeks I had front...

Did It!! I ordered my Trophy Batteries :)

I haven't purchased them yet. As for shipping stuff to CA; I have most the stuff shipped to the USA side and I go pick it up. just last Friday I went over to pick up my 60" pull behind mower. I was not able to get one locally - so I purchased it over there and they offered FREE shipping in the...

Anyone have first hand knowledge about the 3 Solar Generators that have made my list?

My preference is to go with the LifePO4. As for the Ecoflow Delta Pro, it would be a nice unit for the house setup. However, it is too big and heavy to be taking in and out of the sleeper box.

Anyone have first hand knowledge about the 3 Solar Generators that have made my list?

I've found flexible 200W solar panels that have very strong adhesive on them and I can fix at least one, maybe two, to the roof of the sleeper box. It's better than nothing. My rig, being a former ambulance, happens to have a second alternator and I plan to set it up to charge the Solar...

Anyone have first hand knowledge about the 3 Solar Generators that have made my list?

I built this truck and I sleep in it when I'm away from home. I want to run a TV, Fan, Cell Phone & Screenbeam Mini, Refrigerator Freezer Cooler and on cold nights, when I'm sleeping, I also want to run my small diesel heater. When I'm home I want to use it as a backup for my wife's CPAP and...

Anyone have first hand knowledge about the 3 Solar Generators that have made my list?

In a prefect world I could have a system that would run the entire house while not costing too much or taking up too much space. A system that I can build over time and even take a small part of it with me when I'm on the road. That way I don't have to buy different units. Currently, I'm...

Does it really make a difference when it come to using 12V vs 120v for efficiency of a solar generator?

Does it really make a difference when it come to using 12V vs 120v for efficiency of a solar generator? Example: I have a Refrigerator Freezer cooler that can run on either 12v or 120v. Anyone have first hand knowledge about the 3 Solar Generators that have made my list?

I have 3 brands that I'm looking at to find one unit that will do most if not everything I want/need. SPACE is an Issue - when I'm on the road. (It's why I would prefer to not have to use an extended battery - if I don't have to.) Power Back up for home or at least the wife's CPAP machine at...

Looking for recommendations for an all-in-one solar generator for a variety of uses

Thank you. I never use it during winter. I don't want the salt roads to destroy it. 98 to 99 percent of the time it will be used in summer, some occasions early fall. And only when I'm with it to know the outside temps. Plus I have a small diesel heater to keep the inside warm. As for EPS...

Looking for recommendations for an all-in-one solar generator for a variety of uses

Looking for recommendations - PLEASE Unfortunately, I've come to the conclusion that I will have to buy more than one kind of solar generator setup for everything I'm wanting to do. (I had hoped that would not have been the case.) The reason for this post - I've been looking for a while &...

Working on the load side of my drawing and I made a mistake

Hmm and here I thought the following was a question. What else did I leave out? (Why did I ask this. Because, I stated in my opening. "More than likely I also left some other items out as well, due to the fact that this is my first solar setup.") I was trying to encourage a discussion and get...

Working on the load side of my drawing and I made a mistake

I want to start digging and burying conduit this summer, once I have all the underground items all worked out. I was told that 2.5" conduit should work fine for 1/0 - 2/0 wire.
