1x Back Up Generator for 2x Solar Systems

Hello all,

I'm currently designing an off-grid solar system. Initially I was looking at the all in one LV5048, however I would need to provide AC output 200 meters with a substantial load. Due to the expense in wire and the efficiency loss Im thinking off having 2 separate systems. I have a 5.5kw generator that I want to connect as a back up in-case the battery capacity is used in the night, I expect this would be once a week if that. My question is whether 1 back up generator can be connected to 2 separate all in one inverters?

This is the user manual for a MPP inverter, I don't see any reason why in theory I wouldn't be able to connect it to both systems and it could power both or one at a time. I just wanted to check if anyone knows this for sure or has experience with this? Cheers

Yes, you can have both loads on the generator. They will call it up when needed. The limitation is ratio set in amps to the chargers vs load thru-put. If you balance these you will have less nuisance.
