I love the stuff...., I use 2.5" schedule 40 pipe for my main crosstube (for smaller arrays, up to about 1 KY), and then triangulated/strutted 1 1/4" angle off the pipe for the panels to mount to, the triangulation makes the small angle think it's 2.5" pipe in stiffness. This array was going to be doing nothing all winter, just installed this fall to pump spring water for a warm weather use only system. I decided to make it portable, the spring area rack is now 1200' away, moved by Kubota. What made it easy was welding some 1' sections of 3" channel, horizontal, to the top of my vert pipe ( 2 of them about 6' apart, that goes into the ground/concrete base). It cups the 2.5" pipe securely, while still allowing it to easily swivel. Then some big u bolts, bought from a trailer supply place (used to secure axles) lock it down tight once at the proper angle. This spring I'll reverse the process, taking less then an hour to do so.

Oh poor you, so much snow already in october.
I find your construction in the other thread beautiful. As you said, it seems to be made for an airplane. Could you show more photos of your welding of these smaller arrays?
